Movie synopsis

In M. Night Shyamalan's THE SIXTH SENSE, Bruce Willis plays Dr. Malcolm Crowe, a successful Philadelphia child psychologist who is haunted by the sudden reappearance and suicide of a former patient. Months later Dr. Crowe encounters Cole Sear (Haley Joel Osment), a troubled, withdrawn young boy who bears a striking similarity to his earlier patient. Dr. Crowe is compelled to help Cole, not only for the boy's sake, but for his own redemption. As Dr. Crowe struggles to determine what torments Cole, he must also come to terms with his increasingly distant relationship to his wife (Olivia Williams). Meanwhile, Cole is unable to describe the horrible things he sees even to his worried mother (Toni Collette). The scene where Cole finally tells Dr. Crowe about his supernatural secret is one of the 1990s most quoted and well-known cinematic moments.A gripping ghost story with a stunning finale, THE SIXTH SENSE became a surprise blockbuster shortly after its release. The film features Oscar-nominated performances by the startlingly intense Osment and the fiercely maternal Collette, as well as a subtle, subdued turn by Willis. Shyamalan directs his intriguing script with almost clinical precision, using carefully framed visuals to create the film's distinctly chilling atmosphere. On the strength of its pitch-perfect acting and direction, THE SIXTH SENSE has become the most successful thriller of all time.

Make sense to buy Sixth Sense

I have seen this Movie before but it is one of my "staple" movies I keep around for entertainment.
Bruce Willis and Haley Joel Osment are the perfect pair for the roles in this film. The story of a doctor who is trying to help a 9 year old with mental issues (or so he thought)only to be helped HIMSELF in the end...LOVE the ending every time!
I would like to make a special comment on the actress who played the mother...her acting is exceptional, she really made an impression on me when I first saw it, I had never seen her in anything before.
If you haven't seen this yet it's A MUST-SEE!!

The Sixth Sense

Bruce Willis and Haley Joel Osment deliver stunning performances in the best M. Night Shamalyan film to date.

Bruce Willis is Dr. Malcom Crowe and he tries to help a young boy (Osment) who claims he "Sees Dead People".

Chilling and effective, The Sixth Sense delivers and it offers a great "twist ending". If you love M. Night you'll love The Sixth Sense.

Final Verdict:

5/5

Sixth Sense Gets Your Senses Going

Created: 08/04/10
I saw this movie on screen when it first came out and then watched someone else's video of it later on and really liked it. I bought it because I wanted my family to be able to watch it and share it with friends.

This movie depicts a loving, though work absorbed psychiatrist who tries to redeem himself both for a professional error and his failure to maintain the kind of connection with his wife he feels she deserves.

Throughout the movie you see the doctor (played by Bruce Willis)use his cool detached style to coax the boy into reveling his secret. Though at first convincd the boy is psychotic, the doctor comes to understand that not everything can be easily explained away and helps the boy face his demons.

The boy's mother played an outstanding role in the film. She was supportive of the boy without letting him get by with what she saw as his bad behaviour and showed a laudable and realistic combination of concern for her child's welfare, unquestioning love for him and a determination to make her family work.
At the surprising end of the flim it all comes together to reveal that the secret actually was the doctor's.

Great movie. Not the usual swagger and action Willis is usually in, but his persona was perfect for this film. I would not recommend for young children as several scenes depict mangled corpses.

see dead people

I can honestly say this one scared the crap out of me.It scares me everytime I watch it and it takes alot to scare me.screaming and grabbing a pillow to cover your face is what you will be doing watching this one. do not watch it alone. tha little boy in this picture broke my heart. he was so scared and mom did not know that her son was seeing dead people.I loved the part where he tells his mother about a visit he had from his grandmother. This scene makes me cry everytime. She finally believes him. The surprise ending is great. I never seen that coming. Anyone who likes to be scared this is a sure thing.

A Great suspence movie with a surprise twist in the end

Created: 03/11/05
This is one of the Best Movies Ever! My whole family loved it. It is one of those movies you can watch again and again. I felt very sorry for cole cause he was all alone having all these dead people come to him he couldn't talk about it without being tormented by classmates and his mother didn't and couldn't understand what was going on. He was very afraid of them. he didn't know what they wanted until Crowe comes along and helps him out telling him to talk to them to see what it is they are after. The ghost of the little girl that comes to him for his help. She has him go to her house after her funeral to get a box she has hidden in her room that contains a vhs tape so he could give it to her dad. The dad sets and watches it along with few of the family and friends at her house after the funeral it show her mother poisoning her this is how she died. The girl also wants him to give her little sister a small toy doll she had that her sister liked.
The ending is great At the begining of the movie when Cole says "I see dead people" should almost give the ending away. But for me it didn't and I'm not going to tell you about it either. You have to get this movie it is great.
