Nice Little Book

This book is very informative about the dos and don'ts of a slow cooker. You don't have to read the entire book to get the information you want. Just look at the index and go directly where you need. It did not have the kinds of recipes I wanted. It does have recipes but it's more a book of information than a cookbook. I just still don't get the whole concept of the slow cooker because so many things you have to cook before you actually put them into a slow cooker. I thought all you did was throw things in, put it on and leave. But you have to cook certain things first like meat and onions and other things have to be added to the pot at certain times. So, the book is nice I just don't think slow cookers are for me.

This book could be summed up in two pages. I know this because I have those two pages printed from a site giving information about slow cookers. The book may have been useful at the time it was published, but if you are reading this, you have a computer that will give you the same information. I would not recommend this book.
