n October 1989, a huge meteor shower destroyed most of the town of Smallville, Kansas. This event brought Jonathan (John Schneider) and Martha Kent (Annette O'Toole) what they have always wanted, a son they named Clark (Tom Welling). In 2001, their son is becoming a man, who has two best friends, Pete Ross (Sam Jones III) and Chloe Sullivan (Allison Mack), and a crush on the hottest girl in school, Lana Lang (Kristin Kreuk), not to mention a budding friendship with future nemesis Lex Luthor (Michael Rosenbaum). But his parents have been hiding a secret from him: they found him inside a spaceship when the meteor shower came. As he begins to develop his powers and discover more abilities that will soon transform him into Superman, Clark begins to take on his mantle as the Man of Steel.

If you love action, adventure and lots of near movie quality special effects...you'll love Smallville Season 2! This collection is a must for all Superman fans! Most of the stories in this 23-episode boxed set are well developed and the cliffhanger endings keep you coming back for more! Clark Kent, played by Tom Welling, searches for his true origins in this season. The stories are somewhat different than the original Superman comic, but give you a window into how Clark learned about and mastered his abilities. There's even a cameo appearance by the late Christopher Reeve! Michael Rosenbaum (young Lex Luthor) and John Glover (Lionel Luthor) always deliver a stellar performance...they are the essential keys to the show's success! You'll want to watch this season over and over again!

Smallville Season one was great, Season two is even better. A very special guest Christopher Reeve (Played Superman in the movies!) plays Dr Virgil who knows Clarks secret. These season has some of the best eposides on it which includes Red (when Clark puts on his school ring, he is sudden a whole other person) and Heat (where Clark gets a little heated for a new teacher and all the sudden has a new power). Other great events include Pete learning Clarks secret after finding the Clarks Space ship and also we realize there is more to Clarks future than we first thought.

This set includes 6 discs. It also includes some awsome special features like Christopher Reeve: The Man of Steel, The Chloe Chronicles, Deleted Scenes and a LOL Gag Reel. Must have for any Smallville Fan!

Another excellent season of Smallville! My kids and I own this dvd set also and enjoy weekend Smallville marathons! Tons of great special effects still make this a must see series. Character development continues in this season as Clark continues to discover new powers and hints to his origins. Meteor infected people with special powers of their own keep Clark busy. The chemistry between Clark and Lana is getting hotter....will they ever be together?? Clark's friend Pete learns of his powers and must fight hard to keep his secret. A new type of meteor rock brings out Clark's bad side! I would recommend this series!

I bought Season 1, and I have a thing about completing a collection once started. Smallville has always been a very good series for me. Smallville for me, has always built the plot up further and further till the twist at the season finale. Season 2 just picks off where season 1 left me watering. Had to buy it here on ebay because I could not find it anywhere else. If your a Superman fan, or just love good fun and entertainment, then by all means, Get the entire series. Wished WB or some other station rekindles that fire Smallville brings. Heartbreak, action, and more are felt with the characters. Sometimes more than the Big Blockbuster movies can provide. You really begin to love or even hate certain ones enough for tears of joy or sadness. Glad I got into one of the best TV Series of all time.
