McNeely.Recording information: Compound Recording, Seattle, WA.Illustrator: Jason Powers.Photographer: David Hill .This is the sophomore effort from punk-pop outfit Hawk Nelson. Catchy tunes replete with tight harmonies, slicing guitars, and hopped-up, high-energy rhythms show the band building on the formula that made their debut, LETTERS TO THE PRESIDENT, such a success. Hawk Nelson mix things up a bit, with straight punk ("Is Forever Enough") and hands-in-the-air chantalongs ("Bring 'Em Out"), but the band is at their best on slices of sure-fire punk-pop like "The One Thing I Have Left," the album's rousing opener.

FIND A HAWK NELSON CONCERT NEAR YOU!!!

Created: 05/08/07
MY DAUGHTER AND I HAD THE EXTREME PLEASURE TO SEE HAWK NELSON IN CONCERT WITH JEREMY CAMP ABOUT A YEAR AGO. JASON DUNN, LEAD SINGER, WAS A SUPER FUN ENTERTAINER! I TOTALLY ENJOYED HIS CONCERT AND WE ARE CONTINUALLY LOOKING FOR A HAWK CONCERT TO ATTEND NEAR US. I AM OVER 50 AND MY DAUGHTER HAD JUST TURNED 14 AT THE TIME. MY TWO DAUGHTERS ALSO HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO SEE THE BAND ON THE CRUISE WITH A CAUSE MISSIONS TRIP TO THE BAHAMAS THIS YEAR AND NOW MY OLDEST (26) DAUGHTER IS HOOKED! HER DAUGHTER, MY 3 YEAR OLD GRANDAUGHTER EVEN SINGS HAWK NELSON SONGS IN THE CAR! SOME OF THE SONGS ARE CHRISTIAN AND I BELIEVE SOME WERE DONE FOR MOVIES SO THEY HAVE MORE GENERIC LYRICS. ALL ARE TASTEFULLY DONE. HE IS A CRACK UP AS WELL...IF YOU ARE A FAN CHECK OUT HIS YOU TUBE VIDEOS!!! HA, HA, HA!!!

daughters favorite Christian band

We bought this cd as a gift for our Daughter who thinks Hawk Nelson is the living end. But as I listened to the cd I discovered our tastes for music aren't so very different. It was at a very good price and was brand new still sealed in the case,so what more can you ask for.

Why you should get this CD

This is a good sounding Christian band. The music brings you up when life tries to bring you down. I would suggest this CD for your collection.

Worth the money.

Some of the lyrics have a Christian message and some of the songs are not about Christianity. Overall the CD is good. The group's sound reminds me of Blink 182 or Greenday. They have that slight accented singing tone, if you know what I mean. Everything That You Ever Wanted is a great song. I reserve a 5 rating for only the very best CD's.
