Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (DVD, 2009, 3-Disc Set)

A classic of Disney's, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is one of the first Disney full length movie, and one of the best. Children never tire of hearing the story of the evil witch and how right will reign. The color and artistry in this cartoon is wonderful, and the songs are classic.

I purchased this on DVD when the Platinum edition came out several years ago. I was amazed that a movie that was over 60 years old (at the time) could look so good. WOW..the blu-ray version makes it look that much better. With the DisneyView feature it stretches it to fit your HD television and gives you the whole theater feel with the curtain on the sides, your really do not realize you are watching a movie from a 4:3 source. Well worth the money...make sure you look around at the versions, it could save you a few bucks. I bought the DVD-Blu-ray combo pack (the one in the DVD packaging) and got it for $12.00 new including the shipping! The blue case sometimes is several dollars more, so if you want the same exact content cheaper you may want to go that route.

The movie is great in and amongst itself but the special features are so cool and worth the cost of the disk. The tour around Walt Disney's Hyperion Studios was full of cool features (including incorporating current Disney animators into old photographs and bringing them alive, original Merry Melodies shorts, cool stories from the Eight Old Men-who told stories about the people who taught them)...this was great. It had several lengthy features about Snow White as well as the studio.

All in all it was worth it for me because my two kids love the cartoon, even though it is not made by a computer...but also it gives me something to watch after they have gone to bed.

As you may know that Walt Disney movies are the greatest movies an are very collectable for many reasons. I have purchased this DVD so that my granddaughters child will be able to watch these movies during their life time. My family has watched this movie countless times and when these movies are nolonger avaible we will still be able to watch it, this movie is a classic and should be enjoyed by the entire family, in this day and age its hard to find decent movie that are suitable for children to watch without all the gore ,orlanguage,and is money well spent,a must watch movie.

Snow White has been around forever. I had it as a child and loved it, so I thought I would share the Disney joys with my daughter. The new movies that come out are great, but the Disney classics are always the best. Some of the newest Disney should be boarder line PG-13 for adult humor, but these classics are far from that. The whole family enjoys watching these shows.

A true Disney classic. I love it and will always love it. Does not get any better. This is a classic that will stand the test of time and the picture quality is better than I have ever seen. Looking forward to introducing it to my grandbaby.
