Classic game, tons of fun.

The game is a classic on the N64. It never was really popular but it still has a decent fan base. I loved the game growing up and wanted it again. I also bought it as a birthday gift for my sister.

The game itself is race inspired, where players compete for first place. During the course of the race, one can use weapons, use power-ups, and perform tricks. It has a bunch of fun levels, including some unique ones like a Haunted House level, and underwater level, a jungle level, and a space level. The game has 6 original character and 3 unlockable ones. Most of the levels also have shortcuts that help you win easier (or lose easier in some cases). There are also 18 snowboards to choose from, 9 regular and 9 special/hidden. The characters, levels, and specialized snowboards are gradually unlocked as one completes the story mode. There are also 2 mini games, one in which you deliver newspapers and another that is a trick competition.

However, the best part of the game is the ability to use weapons and power-ups. The weapons all have 3 "shots" and some include shooting out whirlwinds, bombs, parachutes, and snowmen. Most weapons have to be properly aimed and just hit the other players, often sending them flying in the air so that you can pass them. The snowmen weapon is probably the best to use, because your target turns into a snowman for a little period of time, slowing down, and losing the ability to turn. Some of the power-ups include a speed fan, a rocket boost, invisibility, wings, and huge pans that fall on all players except you. All in all the game has a very unique base of weapons and it makes for an excellent playing experience.

I would recommend the game to anyone, for any age. A very simple, fun, competitive game that makes you want to learn how to snowboard and wish you lived in this game’s fictional town.

Created: 08/06/09
Snowboard kids 1 was a fantastic game for everyone, including grandma. When the 2 snowboard kids came out, the game literaly out did the original. Of course the first one will alwyas be the best but part 2 was very good. The only question i have is this. Why hasnt nintendo created new snowboard kids games for the Wii? Its fun for all ages. Dont believe me? Try it and then come tell me what you think.

Top 25 N64 Games

Created: 08/10/10
There are 9 tracks with 9 characters and 18 boards. This game plays like a kart racer more than a snowboarding game. Every course is fun, the music is upbeat and catchy. The game is surprisingly difficult to fully complete and pretty awesome once you do. There are hidden boards and characters and it's hidden within the game on how to unlock it all.

The game is good. I wish the people would go faster, it becomes a little slow paced at times. Other than that I like it. It is a good kids game and not quite as fun for adults but you can still get some kicks out of it.
