Sonic Heroes (Game Cube)
Created: 21/01/09
Well what really made me buy this game was that its a game where you can play as a team a do the same thing in the other Sonic games.Which is beating up egghead. If you have played a final fantasy game you'll love this on its non stop action running as 4 teams. team Sonic, team Dark, team Rose and team Chaotix. Each team contains 3 players. The types in each 4 teams are speed, power and fly. But the main is speed. In team sonic the players are Sonic best friend Tails and Knux.In team dark there is Shadow,Rogue and Robot. Team rose has Amy her friend Cream and there sidekick Big. Well there you have it I hope you buy this game its awesome well thats what i've heard.

Decent Gamecube title - not as good as predecessors

Sonic Heroes is a definite must for any Sonic fan. The gameplay introduces a new story, all new playable characters, and the stand out feature (or gimmick if you prefer): playing as 3 characters as once. The story is a basic Sonic story line. Eggman is about his evil doings building a fleet of ships to take over the world and such and its your job as the sonic "heroes" (as your referred to throughout the game) to stop him and bring peace back to the world again. The story is spanned over 4 different groups of characters: Team Sonic, Team Dark, Team Rose, and Team Chaotix. Each team features 3 different characters: one for speed, one for flight, and one for power. These different powers are needed to get past different obstacles and get pass certain enemies. There is just one problem with the teams following the story... You end up playing through the same story 4 different times. Each story has its own different events and the levels are slightly different with the different teams, but its very obvious that its just a rehash of a previous story. The game is defiantly fun and even though the levels are very similar, it will keep you entertained, at least the first time you play through it. The graphics are decent for a gamecube game, bit its obvious that Sega didn't work very hard on it, and most people prefer the graphics of Sonic Adventure 2 Battle over the graphics featured in Sonic Heroes. The characters are somewhat shiny and don't look like they even have fur. Everything is very cartoony and the enemies are all new, and again, most will prefer the enemies from Sa2b. A lot of times you will find your team mates flying around the screen, falling off of cliffs and rails, and magically falling out of the sky, right next to you. This is very noticeable, but wont affect the gameplay or how you fight the enemies. Even though the game has its flaws, it is still a decent sonic game, and is much better then what we have following this title. I would recommend this if your a hard core sonic gamer, a pretty hard gamecube gamer, or just a casual gamer thats bored.

We Love this game!!! It is a great installment in the 'Sonic' franchise.
Very modern, and the graphics are the best so far. Really cool, and the 3-d stuff is so good -it will make your head spin!!! The characters are expanded, and there are different teams that can be played:
Amy Rose,Knuckles,Tails,Shadow, etc. There are also multi-player challenges that are fun also. A great game, and we got a great price on E-Bay. Shipping was good. I recommend this game for good, family enjoyment. And E-BAY!!!
For good-deal enjoyment!!!!

Well, it was back in 2004 when my son wanted me to get this specific game just for him. Well, after my son played the game, he instantly fell in love with it. The whole point of the game is to stop the evil Dr. Eggman with four different teams. There's Team Sonic, Team Dark, Team Rose, and Team Chaotix. With these four teams, you go through these various levels with many obstacles like Eggman's robots. At certain points, you get to fight Eggman in his plane-looking thing and at the end, his giant robot. This game is also multiplayer where you get to race each other. This game also let's you listen to the music of each level. I think many kids who haven't played this game really should try it. The levels are really challenging and fun to do. The music is amazing. My son is older and lost his game, and now he's wanting it back and found one, so that might be one of his Christmas presents. Basically, this game is a really great game. To be honest,I can't really of anything that is wrong with this game. There isn't really anything bad about it. I recommend it for kids of all ages. This game is truly amazing. This is the best Sonic game I've ever seen!!!

A boring, glitchy mess. The begining of sonic's downfall.

Sonic Heroes is the first completely original Sonic game to arrive for 6th generation consoles. This game, in my opinion, started Sonics downhill slide to ruin. It wouldn't be until Sonic Colors and Sonic Generations that the Blue Blur would star in worthwhile home console games.
Sonic Heroes is horrible. Characters don't control nearly as well as they did in Sonic Adventure 2. The character switch gimmick is lame and annoying. Bosses are scarce, pointless, and easy. The game is very glitchy with cheap deaths that can even occur in scripted events. Because you constantly have to switch between characters and fight enemies to unlock gates, the sense of speed that was present in SA2's Sonic/Shadow levels isn't present here. Clumsy flying characters make platforming a pain, boring battles make fighting enemies unenjoyable, and linear, glitchy levels makes the running portions underwhelming.
The game isn't fun. It's a battle to play through it, not a pleasure. The only compliment I can give the game is that the visuals are great for a last gen game, particulary in cut scenes. I won't even touch the story line and voice acting. If you want an enjoyable 3D sonic game for the Gamecube, pick up Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. If you have a Wii, get Sonic Colors, and If you have a PS3/360 I HIGHLY recomend Sonic Genarations. Just stay away from this forgetable, unplayable game.
