Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection (Xbox 360, 2009)

This game has some of the greatest Sega Genesis games of all time. It has all the classics that I remember playing when I was a kid, and I still enjoy them just as much as back then. The Xbox 360 version is great because, like an emulator, you can you save states to save the game wherever and whenever you want in a game, which makes some of those old games less frustrating sometimes, because you don't have to start over all the way at the beginning of the game when you die or lose a continue.

The only problem I have with the game is that it doesn't have updated graphics like some Xbox Live Arcade games, but they do look a lot better in progressive scan. And secondly and more importantly, there is no Xbox Live support. So you can't play multiplayer games over LIVE with a friend who also owns this game. It does have mutliplayer support, but only on a single console, and only up to 2 people.

Overall I would give the game a 9/10, and it includes some of the best Genesis games of the time, so for $30 brand new, you can't go wrong.

Ultimate Genesis collection is right! Born in the 80's, once I saw this title online as I was browsing for games, I had to have this compilation of retro titles. I think even for the Sonic collection alone, it's worth it. Then you have Streets of Rage, the Golden Axe.. Over 40 classic games, all at your disposal! And you are able to save the game emulator style, so if you die or power down, you don't have to start all the way from the beginning! Which is excellent! I believe there are three save options for each game? I may be wrong. Definitely one of the jewels in my game collection, and I have plenty of the up to date, current gaming montage going on.

This collection is great. It contains 40 genesis games and 9 unlockables. It has the complete Streets of Rage series and phantasy star 1-4 and golden axe 1-3. I would reccomend this to anyone who wants to relive these classic games.The only drawback is the lack of any kind of online you can play multiplayer on the same console so it's not that bad but for $30.00 you are definintly getting your money's worth.

This game delivers a lot to fans of the Sega Genesis and it gives you evolved HD graphics.

Play a big list of over 40 exclusive Genesis titles,also you can play some of the games in co-op with your friends.Remember that there's no Online mode only same screen share.

A great port and it is a Steal at $29.99.

The bad thing is that it gets boring after a big while especially if you have already played them in a old Genesis like i did.

In overall its a fun game to at least have in case some genesis fan friend comes over to play.

Lots of old Sega Genesis games bundled in one disc. Many hours of fun if you are into retro gaming. Decent price for the amount of content and enjoyment. Great for last generation gamers to re-live the evolution of video-games and good for the young ones to experience the classics and hit games of the 80s'-90's.
