Transport Mech: excellent
Icons like fast forward,skip tracks etc are black on black instead of a lighter color on the black surround of the player It is very inconvenient to see the icons without a flashlight.
Battery compartment very inconvenient to load.
Memory of tracks can drive you mad if you do not know what you are doing.
Mega bass(sound 2) sounds too artificial but sound 1 is fine and correctly equalized.
Clamshell should open all the way; very inconvenient opening partially like a clam at the beach.
There is a severe lack of convenience engineering on this device.

) This CD player can not play MP3 files CD. this is a fault ad. by Sony. Sony customer service is very bad. I tried to resolve the problem many times but they still insisted that this Sony D-EJ011 CD player can play MP3 file and refuse for full refund. I were a big fan of Sony but I am very disappoint with Sony customer service and will think tiwce before I ever buy a Sony product again.

I've tried several types of CD players, and this one is definitely my favorite. Excellent skip control, and I love the fact that it marks the spot where you left off the last time you listened to a CD. Highly recommend!

This CD Player is great if you are going old school

) I have been very pleased with this product. When I'm not using an iPod and am going old school with some cds, the Sony is the way to go. It has a balance built in which keeps the player from skipping while moving around. It works equally well with a variety of head phones and I've had no problems at all with the player. I highly recommend if you are interested in an old school cd Walkman.

The tiny display on the side can be hard to read and warm up is slow, so it takes several seconds for it to read a CD. I bought this to connect it to my Ipod speaker dock so I can listen to CD's through it. I had to buy another cable to connect it to the dock, but it works great.
