Sony Handycam CCD-TRV318 Camcorder - Metallic silver

I ordered this camera for my Ghost Hunting hobbie to shoot in low light. While it does work for that, the first time I used it it kept shutting off and the batteries went dead within a half hour or so. Could it be paranormal? Now I have to test it at home to see if that really was the problem or not. Also, I would like to be able to convert my 8mm tapes onto a memory stick or my computer as the manual says that is not possible. Anyone can help me out? Mabie I am doing something wrong....Other than that, I am very happy with the product I received

This has been one of the best cameras I've ever used. Its very simple, it has all the features I use like zoom, back light, night vision and the battery on it lasts as long as the film. Also the rewind and playback are great and the sound is real clear when you do playback. My son had one similar that I had gotten him and I liked his so much that I got one for myself. I would recommend this camera to anyone and since I've told my mother how easy it is to use, she wants to get one for herself. And the price was very reasonable. I'm very happy with this item.

I’m very happy for this purchase. The camera works great, is light weight and
very good in low light areas. Battery lasts almost two hours and maybe I consider upgrade with longer life battery.

This Camcorder is very good for general use, especially for family events.
The most important thing is, this camera is very easy to operate.

this Camcorder is Reliable, Rugged, and will work well in Low-Light environments. An hour after winning this camcorder I read some dissapointing news about this camcorder model. Seems it likes to throw up an error code which is very annoying. Sure enough, I used this camcorder on 4 seperate occasions,3 which ended in the error code popping up. Once was while I was trying to dub, and all in a very short time. This is the worse camcorder I ever had and I strongly
recomend a not to buy item! I went to Best Buy and bought a Canon Hard drive camecorder with HD, I love it! Sony has really down graded to not even the middle of the pack. low end with a high price! Bottom line; "PIECE OF CRAP"!!
