The 2.5-inch LCD display also has a Touch Screen, which can be used in conjunction with Sony's Active Menu, a logically structured graphical user interface for camcorder controls. With Memory Stick you can also easily shoot and store digital still images for sending over the Internet to friends. Sony's unique Easy Handycam menu gives one-button access to basic camera operation and recording settings.The Sony DCR-TRV480E is backwards compatible with both Hi8 and 8mm videocassettes, providing an ideal upgrade path to digital for experienced video enthusiasts with sizeable tape stocks. Additionally those wishing to preserve their video memories on these older formats can take advantage of digital connectivity and ease of use offered by the Sony DCR-TRV480, including Picture Package software. This camcorder features both digital i.LINK IN and OUT, as well as Analog IN and OUT for archiving analog tape recordings. USB provides connectivity to a PC, while Audio IN and OUT ports are ideal for easy dubbing to and from the tape and playing back with TV.Low-level light recording technology is incorporated in the form of Night Shot Plus, which can record in more natural color in low-light environments. The Super NightShot plus function on the Sony DCR-TRV480E uses a slow shutter speed to allow color video under very dark conditions. ) This is a great console, not just for its physical value but its play value as well. The slim takes up almost no space and is light enough that its easy to take it places if you so wish. On the other side some of the best games ever made can be played on this console, and wether you want to shoot up bad guys or play a guitar you can do that on the PS2. It's a really well rounded machine.

The Sony PlayStation 2 Slim remains popular and inexpensive; a great buy when affordability is at issue. For the money you can't beat the graphics, its Internet capabilities and portability. The Slim is easy to connect and get started; includes lots of compatability for perpherals. A great buy and plenty to found at a reasonable price.

Although, there is still something about the original model, I dont know what it is, that will always be number 1. My original is 5 years old and still running strong!

I had been wanting a system for my grandkids and the price was great.It was delivered quickly and in perfect condition.The 6 yr old grandson loves the sports games and Crazy taxi..I also bought the Guitar hero game and 2 guitars.Brand new..I love playing it..
PS2 - Great ... or not so Great ???

The Playstation 2 has many functions to it, you can get it in Jet Black or you can get it in Silver, which looks much better, but it is very rare to find. I have many games for this console and personally I love it overall!
Advantages: lots of good games out, Sleek looking, DVD movie playable - basically good value for money :-)
Disadvantages: Xbox's graphic capabilites are superior - Still waiting for hard drive peripheral for PS2. Also there are only two controller ports, compared to the higher rated Xbox. Also the games are quite costly so go figure!
The verdict: I would say that the Sony Playstation 2 is a high quality games consule with extraordinary gaming power capible of being achieved. Many people tend to dissagree, but I think that the Sony Playstation 2 is the best games console going and other consoles such as the XBOX and Gamecube don't even compare to the quality of this tiny black/silver box of fun.
