Sony KP-51HW40 51" 1080i HD Television

From my buy here on ebay I got it at a great price. Would neve pay the new price for this tv. Pros that I found is that the sound it gives is very good and decent amount of bass as well. I of course use a home theature setup with it but the stock speakers do sound very good. The flicker problem is one well known problem with these, that this one does have. The glar during the day kinda makes me mad I have it in a dark room (panneling)with only two windows and kinda thick dark curtins. But that does not stop the glar during the day. Makes it very hard to watch, but at night it is great. Hooked up to my xbox 360 for games or movies in hd look amazing at night as well. This is a very light tv. I am happy with it but I dont see it being a everyday tv if you have a bright house with windows.

ECHO THIS TOTALLY. Exactly the same happened to me. Sony would not help. This was clearly a terrible model/design.

I have had this TV since 2001 and it is still running. That is two toddlers, one professional move and multiple toddler parties later. Good TV for the price. Speakers in the unit provide great sound. Have had connected to a audiophile quality Denon AV receiver and it has been a great addition to our family entertainment center.

Had this tv since 2001 when brand new and it still works and looks like brand new. i have three toddlers from ages 2 thru 5 and have had matchbox cars, and any other hard toy thrown or wacked at and it still takes the beating. Id like to see a plasma or lcd take a hot wheels to the middle at a full throw from three feet away and still work.
