South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut (DVD, 1999, Sensormatic)

Trey Parker, Matt Stone|Theatrical release: 1999 | Rating: R (MPAA)

Movie synopsis

The now-legendary animated series makes a big-screen splash with a feature-length film that features the same crude animation but now has the license to be as rude as it wants to be. Keep the kids away and enjoy the episode of SOUTH PARK you always hoped you'd see. Stan, Kyle, Kenny, and Cartman sneak into the R-rated Terrence and Philip movie, and before you know it, their angry parents have declared a war on Canada. A musical in disguise, the film features many memorable songs as well as a touching relationship between Saddam Hussein and Satan himself. The showstopping tune "Blame Canada!" was nominated for a 1999 Academy Award for Best Song.

Love South Park, Not Musicals - rated R

Created: 27/12/06
I am a huge South Park series fan. The humor just seems to speak to me. Living in Colorado helps.
Well, I didn't take the time to see their movie until recently. While the comedy was top shelf, I could not stand the singing. In fact, I hated the song and dance routines. It made me upset and also made me realize why I never liked most animated movies. OK, Uncle F-er was pretty funny.
I gave this a good (4/5) rating to warn others who might feel the same about "musicals".
Declaring war with Canada though - classic!

South Park: Still a hoot and a hollar

Purchasing South Park--The DVD was one of my better choices. Because I really wanted to have a good laugh and had an open mind at the time, it was quite humorous.

Although risque in most parts, the characters are at it again, making socially and morally inappropriate things. It is a movie that you can watch over and over again, and catch just one more insult that you didn't catch before.

If you are willing to keep and open mind, and are a fan of the South Park series, this DVD is exactly what you need for a good laugh.

Must see for any South Park fan

I thought this movie was just hilarious and reminded me why I watch South Park. The kids of South Park must save the day from Satan and his life partner Saddam Hussein. Most parent probably would not like their children to watch this movie because it has a healthy serving of foul language and some animated nudity. As for the older crowd, this movie is quite worth watching if some crude humor and dirty language does not bother you.

South Park Movie!!

Created: 09/07/09
The South Park kids are just as silly as ever in this movie. I do think that they take things a little to far in poking fun at Canada. This movie has some very catchy songs that I have a hard time forgetting and oh yes, Kenny dies in this one, too.
