Spice World
Created: 10/01/08
Spice World is, for lack of better terminology, great. Depicting a "day in the life of the Spice Girls" this film showcases the group at the height of their international popularity. The film centers around the Spice Girls preparing for their first live show at London's Royal Albert Hall. Along the way (traveling in a Spice Girl-themed double-decker bus no less) we see them perform, rehearse, film a documentary, party, stay a night at a haunted castle, and meet up with a group of aliens who happen to be Spice Girl fans, among quite a few other fun adventures. Along with several of the Spice Girls biggest hits the movie also boasts cameos and roles from Elton John, Jennifer Saunders, Barry Humphries, Alan Cumming and Meat Loaf, among others. This DVD is not necessarily loaded with extras but it is worth purchasing. If you are a Spice Girls fan there's a great chance you already own a copy, but for those of you who do not have it, it's definately worth buying.

Spice Girls, the movie

Spice girls reminds me of when my 18 year old daughter was 5 and so when she asked me to buy this for her I couldn't help but say yes! It is a fun and cheerful musical and any teenage girl would love it for their collection to remind them of their younger days. I purchased the movie for what it represented and couldn't resist how eBay made it so easy to obtain at an amazing price.

Girl Power!

First saw this movie back when I was a bit younger and enjoyed it very much. Being a fan of the Spice Girls back then, it was only a given that I was going to see this movie.
Watching it now, it's not AS good was it was back then (growing out of it), but its still enjoyable.
The storyline wasn't anything Oscar worthy, but for anyone a fan of the Spice Girls it was good enough! They tell how they came together as a band, which is pretty interesting to see how it all started.
It follows the same formula as most movies, they come to a problem and they all begin to hate each other, but in the end they become closer friends than ever before. Its something we've all seen a million times.
The music of course was mostly Spice Girls, that was a given! My favorite part was when they are in the club and its playing a club mix of "Who Do You Think You Are". When I first heard that mix I HAD to find that remix (this was just before the days of Napster), I was in luck when I found the CD single with that specific remix on there.
Overall if you are a fan of the Spice Girls then you won't find this movie that bad, if not then you might want to avoid this. Spice Girls fans should have this in your collection to make any collection complete!

Girl Power summed up in 1 movie

If you like the Spice Girls then this is your movie. This movie packs all the fun and excitement of Girl Power into one film. Watch for special appearances by Elton John, Meatloaf, George Wendt, Elvis Costello, Jennifer Saunders and Sir Roger Moore.
The movie is totally tongue and cheeck and is a great way to pass some time with laughter.
