Splash (DVD, 2004, 20th Anniversary Edition)

Outstanding classic romantic story in a DVD format (2004 issue). "Splash" is probably Daryl Hannah's best film. It's sometimes thought provoking and sometimes mindless entertainment - all at the same time. It will be a film you'll remember and almost everyone can get something out of it. It's rare that a mermaid movie hits the big screen with an all star cast - even though at the time it was made, the stars were not as well known as today. Note that this review is made with no knowledge as to who the potential seller may be.

I love this movie, I watched it with my daughter when she was a little girl and it is one of her favorites!! It is a comedy fantasy love story about a Man and a Mermaid. Not to mention Tom Hanks, John Candy and Daryl Hannah are in it!

Wow! A romantic comedy that is actually funny. This is a movie that has something for everyone. Tom Hanks, plays a business owner who falls in love with Daryl Hannah, who ends up being a mermaid. Between the scientist trying to expose "the mermaid" and John Candy who plays as Tom Hanks brother they keep this movie light, funny and entertaining.

This was my FAVORITE movie when I was little. The "Little Mermaid" type story acted out by humans is great! I decided to buy this DVD because it is hard to find in stores, it reminds me of my past, and it is the 20th Anniversary Edition with such GREAT actors as Tom Hanks, Darell Hannah, and "The late" John Candy. An awesome movie that I had to have for my collection.

IF YOU LIKE MERMAIDS THIS IS A COOL DVD TO WATCH. I'VE ENJOYED THIS SIMPLE LOVE STORY AND FANTASY IN NYC. IT TOOK ME BACK TO WHEN I WAS YOUNGER AND IT WAS FUNNY TO SEE HOW THINGS HAVE CHANGED IN THEN CITY. THE STORY IS GOOD TO SHARE WITH YOUR FAMILY. I WATCHED IT WITH MY DAUGHTER. WE BOTH ENJOYED THE ACTION AND THE COMEDY OF THE MOVIE.
I RECOMMEND IT ON DVD BECAUSE OF THE COLORS AND THE SPEED OF THE MOVIE. EVERYONE OF ANY AGE CAN ENJOY IT.
