Star Trek: Enterprise - The Complete Series (DVD, 2005, 27-Disc Set, Checkpoint)

I absolutely love this series, so the following comments and rating are directly related to the product I received, not the show itself.

I missed a few episodes on TV and naturally decided I should purchase the whole set to fill in the blanks. The seller said that the packaging wasn't exactly the same as the stock photo, so I figured it was an earlier or later version of the one shown. When I received the discs, the inner packaging was very sub-par for what Paramount usually markets. Upon further inspection, each individual disc had misspelled english words and chinese characters on it. Though the discs say they are region 1, I still could not get some of the discs to play on my dvd player; they looked "foggy" on the underside.


It's disheartening to spend so much money on something that you are looking forward to watching and then not get to watch THE LAST episode at all. I wish the seller had been more straighforward. I feel cheated, expecially because there is nothing I can do about it.

This series is even better than the first Star Trek! It's FIRST contact every time! It's got plenty of action (not like fuzzy-touchy-feelie Next Gen.) And not depressingly/desperate as Voyager. Not limited as being stuck on a station. It's got good characterization, updated special effects, a good continuity from one episode to the next. I especially like the use of themes from original Star Trek that get the origins explained.. too cool! Best when viewed 3-4 episodes at a sitting. Enjoy!

This was an excellent show / prequel to the Star Trek saga, its demise was mainly because of poor scheduling againest some bigger name series (big bucks rule). If you haven't seen all the shows you're missing alot.
