I planned to buy this text but I couldn't cz i dropped the class. However, this was the cheapest "Intro to java" text on amazon as well as ebay. In refund, the seller has a good response. She refunded me within a short period and this way i did not have to accuse her of not refunding me. Had a nice experience doing business with you pink lady.

Great way to learn Java

The book is very easy to understand even for someone who has never programed before. Then there are extra little challenges and questions that will be hard even for more experienced programmers. The example programs are well written and provide great examples for how to start programming Java fast and with best practices.

The book is only slightly different from the previous edition. If you are considering purchasing this for a Java college class, you can consider using the third edition without too much trouble.

I bought this book as a gift, not for personal use. The person i gave the book to, loved it :) he told me it was practical, informative and essencial to what he's studying. It's not a book i would buy to anyone, not even for myself, but it's a must tO someone who's studying to become a tech in computer programming.

Wrong Book

Created: 03/02/10
I thought that this purchase was a bad idea. I did not get the book that I thought I was getting. The book pictured was not what I was getting. I was purchasing this book to use in my class at BTC and now I have a different book then what I am supposed to have.
Then, I decide that I don't want to keep the book and find out that it costs me money to return it. If I see an image of a certain book, then that is the one I expect to get, not an international version that is not to be used in the US.
