    Publisher's Note

This book brings to life the compelling underlying logic of statistical methods so that readers can not only do the computations, but also truly understand what they are doing and remember what they have learned for years to come. This book covers the basic introductory statistics and methods including central tendency and variability, inferential statistics (Z scores, the normal curve, sample versus population, and probability), the t test, the analysis of variance, correlation, prediction, and more. For research analysts and reporters in the field of psychology.

Totally described what I was looking for.

I am currently enrolled in college online and felt more comfortable having the statistics book infront of me instead of reading online. The book is great! It was exactly what I needed for class and the condition was excellent.

This exact same book was available on my school website for three times as much as what it was offered on ebay! So I was extremely grateful for finding it at so much less the cost! And used does not boether me at all. Sometimes the notes in the margins help me understand the material better.

I had to buy it for class, but it has definitely come in handy. It is useful because it gives detailed descriptions of the material. The book also gives practice problems (along with answers in the back of the book) so that you can test your abilities and be sure you understand the material.

    Buy Used!

    Created: 01/09/07
I bought this book because I needed it for a psychology class. Buying full priced textbooks is so expensive and there is no reason a used one can't be perfectly good. My book doesn't look new, but I didn't expect it to. It is exactly the same as the new ones but for much less. I highly reccommend buying used textbooks from a reputable e-bay-er/half.com-er

This book offers statistics from a different perspective. For humanities majors especially, it is helpful and accessible.
