1st NFL Complete Games On DVD - They Picked The Best!
Created: 10/01/07
For the first time, NFL films has offered a complete game on DVD. In fact, they offer four! This set is great for the Steeler fan! It starts with the Wild Card game vs. the Bengals, the Divisional round vs. the Colts, the AFC Championship vs. the Broncos, and finally the Super Bowl vs. the Seahawks. Each game is shown complete, every play. The AFC playoffs feature the video from the CBS broadcast and the Super Bowl video is from ABC's broadcast. Play by play audio is from the Steelers broadcast team of Bill Hillgrove and Tunch Ilkin.
Normally a game broadcast lasts 3 hours or more, but with no commercials and less replays, you can see the entire game in half that time. Most of the time, after each play, it cuts right to the teams lining up for the next play. There are still a good amount of replays that you will want to see, and on the Super Bowl disc, there is the post game reactions on the field.
Each disc also has NFL Films bonus material, interviews and profiles on Hines Ward, Chuck Knoll, Bill Cowher, and Dick LeBeau. Really cool stuff you have probably seen before, but well worth it for the Steeler fan.
It retails at Best Buy for $38, but I picked it up at a Giant Eagle store in Pittsburgh for $14.95. On Ebay, look for a price around $20. Many are at $17.95, so you should find a fair price on Ebay. There are no extra features as far as booklets or anything, but it is a really nice package! A good companion to the regular Super Bowl disc that features more of the event and not much of the game.
Enjoy!

Great Timing

I've been wondering for the last 5 or 6 years if or when title runs would be put on DVD so fans didn't have to re-live the games on warn out tapes. I'm just happy the Steelers are the first NFL to have this happen. There are a few extras, but if you get this set, you're getting it for the games. The comeback in Cincy. The shocker in Indy. I still wonder how much Pete Morelli was getting paid by the Colts for that horrendous call. Then the blowout in Denver. And of course the Super Bowl, winning ugly. Thank you to the NFL and other entities that finally got this going.

NFL Pittsburgh Steelers: Road to XL Collector's Edition
Created: 03/10/06
This DVD is a great addition to any Pittsburgh Steelers fan's collection. The full game footage is incredible and the play-by-play provided by WDVE is priceless. This DVD allows you to hear all of the classic calls during the biggest moments of the Pittsburgh Steelers Super Bowl run. In addition to the entire broadcast of all four playoff games, this DVD also has four very interesting off the field interviews of Bill Cowher, Hines Ward, Dick LeBeau and Chuck Noll.

My husband and I watch these dvds during the off season and we LOVE them. They are the full games, with all of the nonsense cut out. Not just highlights. Games are called by WDVDE announcers (Tunch and Bill and Wolfie). The season known as "The Magic Carpet Ride" is a must have for any true Steeler fan. They will not disappoint. The Steelers are the greatest football team in NFL history and this dvd set proves it. What more can I say? BUY IT, you won't regret it.

Carson Palmer's knee in Slow Mo!@!
Created: 03/04/07
Cinnci fans can watch their beloved Bunguls'Carson Palmyself have his knee ripped in half in slow motion and their play off run ended in the first minute of play against the Superbowl winning Pittsburgh Steelers! I loved the last game too in 2006, what a loss for the bunguls at home, missing the playoffs, and losing to the five time superbowl winning Pittsburgh Steelers all in one game!! Better luck next decade!!
