Steven Wright - When the Leaves Blow (DVD, 2007)

I have been a Steven Wright fan for many years. Steven is not your typical comedian. His style of comedy and his delivery is differnet from any other comedian you will ever see. The closest thing I can relate to Steven Wright is the old comic strip called The Far Side. Another comic strip that comes to mind is Bent Offerings. Steven delivers his jokes in a straight-faced and monotone fashion. He is DEFINATELY a philosophical type of thinker at a low-grade level. But there is no doubt in my mind that you will ask yourself "How does he come up with these things? He's hilarious." And another great thing about Steven Wright is that he WILL catch you off guard. He has an abstract sense of humor. Call it "verbal art" if you will. He is a VERY REFRESHING change from the typical and ordinary comics you see today. I love the guy to pieces and would go to see him LIVE! Enjoy!

Classic Steven Wright style on this DVD. "I'm addicted to placebos. I could quit...but it wouldn't make a difference." "It seems wrong to me that only one company makes the game MONOPOLY."

No one in the history of comedy has been able to pull of the jokes that Steven Wright does. They are so subtle that you cant even believe what you just heard. All I have to say is one joke from him. "For my birthday I got a humidifier and a de-humidifier... I put them in the same room and let them fight it out."

Steven Wright is hands down the polytheistic god of deadpan humor. Without batting an eye or a twitch of his lips, he can tell you his dog was raped to death by a banana wielding clown on ecstasy.

In this movie you see his independent short film "One Soldier" and experience through his eyes how he perceives life and death. Also you see some early stand-up and set of some of his funniest material ever.

It is a must have for anyone who enjoys comedic genius.

I have been waiting for another great Steven Wright stand-up routine for too long. He is fast, upbeat and just as deep as ever. This is a must have for any Steven Wright fan.
