Issued in 2007 by Starbucks' Hear Music label, this collection presents a well-selected decades-spanning array of Christmas tunes. While the 20th century is wonderfully represented by Ella Fitzgerald's swinging "Sleigh Ride," Dean Martin's playful "I've Got My Love to Keep Me Warm," and other vintage songs, STOCKINGS BY THE FIRE also features more contemporary fare, including tracks by Jack Johnson (a typically laid-back version of "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer") and Hem (a gentle take on "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas").
