The Stoned Age. A Movie Best Left To The Memory.

Created: 07/02/09
The story of this movie is actually not THAT bad. However, the delivery, the dialogue, the acting, the production quality, and most of the actors themselves are just hard to tolerate.

This film was brought back to my attention when National Lampoon's recently released a movie with the same title. I bought it based on my recollections as a 10 year old. I had seen this movie once or twice, and I thought it was just awesome. Turns out, I was 10! This movie fell far short of my memories of it. Had I not paid to own the DVD, such as simply rented the garbage, I probably wouldn't have made it halfway through before hitting the eject button. I gave this movie a one simply because that is the lowest I can give. If zero was an option, that's probably what my rating would be.

I would suggest this movie for children, as they would be the only ones who could tolerate the effortless efforts put into making this movie, but it is far beyond inappropriate for children. Therefore, I recommend no one buy this movie, unless you like shiny frisbees, or need a little background noise so nobody can hear you take a dump, although I'm not sure which they would prefer.

Can you believe I got all the way through this review without even mentioning
the audacity they had to actually print "Better than Dazed & Confused" on the cover. What a load of crap.

One of the Greatest Movies of All Time

If you had grown up in the mid-late 70's, this could have been you. It sure was me. Great music references, with Sabbath, Deep Purple, and one of the most underrated bands, Blue Oyster Cult. Based on the life of many teenage males in the 70's: cruising around on the weekends, looking for a party, drinking, and chasing chicks. If only life could be like that forever!

This movie is way underrated!

This, Dazed and Confused, and Detroit rock city make a great set of party movies. This movie is not that well known but is the most realistic version of my teenage years that I have ever seen on film. If you really want to see how it was to grow up between 1977 and 1986, and you're a rocker, this is it. Now "bring on da bitches!".

Great movie that is quite hard to find

Created: 17/03/09
I watched this movie a long time ago when it came out and it seems to be a long lost favorite. It is very close to the same concept as Dazed and Confused but in some ways better. Great flick, if you can find it in your local video store, if not buy it!!!
