Street Fighter Alpha 3 for Sega Dreamcast
Created: 27/09/08
Considered to be one of the finest Street Fighter games, not to mention an overall classic game, ever to come out. The Sega Dreamcast version was even better than its arcade counterpart! Great exotic stages to fight, and catchy techno beats that really got you excited to fight! :-] Features a huge list of characters, including all of the original fighters, Ryu, Ken, Guile, etc. Included lots of new features not included in the arcade, such as survival, world tour, 3 players match, and more! Plus players could hook their system to the internet and compete against players from the around the globe! The Sega Dreamcast was the first system to introduce online play, BEFORE Playstation 2. A must have game not just for Dreamcast fans, but for all gamers alike. Far better than the PS One version, with better graphics and playability. The only flaw that can be said for Street Fighter Alpha 3 is that it required a good amount of time to master the tricky combos, and deep list of moves. Recommended for more experienced players or beginners willing to pass the high learning curve. Caution: NOT a game for casual players!!

This game is still awesome 10 years later...

I compared this to my PC version of Street Fighter 4, which I play at full resolution with maxed out settings... and Street Fighter Alpha 3 contains modes and moves that even the latest game does not offer.
The block meter is awesome. It prevents people from being turtles, and it forces players to use offensive measures as a form of defense. Plus, the counter moves and juggles in this game are also missed in SF4.

One of my favorite Street Fighter games. Alpha, imo, has one of the best move settings for the characters in the street fighter series (i.e less hold/charge moves, etc. (at least for the characters I use)) Also, this addition to the SF series has a fighting mode that is rare to see in any other fighting game..it is called "dramatic mode" and with this you and another player can team up and fight in arcade mode together (which extremely fun and they made the opponents harder in this mode as well), OR you can hook up another controller and have a third person be the one to take you and someone else on! Great for someone who wants an even bigger challenge. The only thing I can think of that would make this game better is if it had more characters, although it still has a decent selection.

This game has everything tons of characters, game play and internet capabilities, its what you want in a Street Fighter game. The game gives you the ability to double team M Bison on one of its extra mini games it has, and the best thing is the ability to make your fighter with different color schemes and biuld there strength to use during the game or in the internet. I have no dislikes about it.

This version, aside from the Sega Saturn version, is arcade perfect! No slowdowns or missing details like the PSX version! Some commands are a bit hard, but you'll eventually get used to them. This is a definite must-by!
