Great Good

This is much much like the first one. It allows you to fight bad guys without all the blood and guts. One of the things that I love about this game is that you can play with two players and help one another, which is a great team building game. This game is more challeging then the first one. Something new that I liked about this game is that it gives you a kill bar for each of bad guys that you happen to be fighting. I believe that this is one of thoose must buy games if you still have the system. Buy and you will enjoy.

Although not as refined as the wonderful Streets of Rage 2, this third iteration does feature notable improvements such as faster gameplay, better graphics and more intricate animation. The often-maligned musical score is not bad per se but rather "out there" alternative. It's definitely an acquired taste. However, the game could have used more development time. Sometimes, punches and kicks don't visually make contact with your combatants making the visual presentation a tad bit sloppy at times. Also, this game is considerably harder than the previous game causing more frustration to some players. Despite its warts, I highly recommend this awesome game to anyone contemplating adding three to the rest of their collection.

Superb entry! The game speed was faster then the other SoR Games, with dashing and rolling. To tell you the truth, the music is really good, and the style is completely different. The game can be bit unforgiving, but that comes with territory, as beat em ups are usually fairly challenging. I also like how there are multiple ending to the game, and you can learn super moves with the accumulated experience points. I am giving the NA version a 4/5 due to some downgrades, otherwise Bare Knuckle 3 would get a 5/5. I recommend this!

My advice is simple - if you're a fan of the series then SOR3 should be near the top of your retro shopping list. If you've never played any of the SOR series before, SOR2 is probably a better entry point, but be sure to sample this third outing at some point.

Another classic in the Streets Of Rage series, in which all three games offer plenty of classic beat-em-up action, along with extremely high replayability. If you like side-scrolling fighters at all, this is an obvious buy.
