Album NotesStrike a Deep Chord: Blues Guitars for the Homeless benefits the homeless not only through donation of its profits, but also by shedding light on their everyday struggles, whether by singing from their perspective or commenting on the problem in the third person (usually the former). The music ranges from New Orleans swamp blues to raucous electric blues-rock to more traditional acoustic blues, which provides a nice variety even if the collection doesn't always hang together musically. However, the songs are united by the resilience and frequent humor of their characters, not to mention their common cause. ~ Steve Huey
Editorial Reviews...by no means a depressing experience ....this collection's charitable goal is only one worthwhile reason to check it out...Living Blues eBay Product ID: EPID3075746
