Stuart Little 2 (DVD, 2002)

Rob Minkoff, Geena Davis, Hugh Laurie|Theatrical release: 2002 | Rating: PG (MPAA)

Movie synopsis

Lovable talking mouse Stuart Little (voiced by Michael J. Fox) lives with his human family in a quaint brownstone near Central Park in an idyllic New York City. In this sequel to the 1999 blockbuster, Stuart deals with growing pains. His mother (Geena Davis) is overprotective of her fearless minuscule mouse son who plays soccer, skateboards, and drives his own convertible to school. Meanwhile, his brother, George (Jonathan Lipnicki), is spending more and more of his time with his friends, leaving Stuart feeling deserted. Just when Stuart is at his loneliest, a lovely bird named Margalo (voiced by Melanie Griffith) literally falls into his life while she is being pursued by a vicious falcon (voiced by James Woods). Adventure and hijinks ensue when Margalo--who is not as innocent as she appears to be--disappears and Stuart vows to find her. Snowbell (voiced by Nathan Lane), the family cat, provides substantial comic relief. Hugh Laurie also stars as Stuart's levelheaded father, and Steve Zahn provides the voice for the scruffy cat Monty. Top-notch animation and a fitting voice from Fox make Stuart endearing and oddly human.

You gotta love the Little...

You know I really miss Michael J. Fox acting and it is a treat to hear his voice in this wonderful film. And what can be better than having Geena Davis and Hugh Laurie playing his folks.

This is a wonderful family film, and a proud second to the first film.

Great Kid's Movie

I could find no fault with this movie - and I'm very picky about what my grandkids watch! Stuart Little 2 is especially helpful to children who are not in a traditional family - which seems to be more kids than not these days. It approaches adoption, children learning to get along and mature, making friends, forgivness, and all around good family skills, something that's sadly lacking in this day and age. I recommend this movie wholeheartedly. - Carmenrose

I bought this for my great grandson. I even enjoy watching Stuart little.
Great for families.
We have the first one and decided to get the second. It arrived today and when he came home from school he wanted to watch it, and didn't even see him until it was over..lol
I think they should come out with another adventure for Stuart Little.
My great grandson says he wants a brother likethat.lol

We bought this for our 2 year old for Christmas and he loves it. Stuart Little is just as creative in the one as he is in the first movie, with lots of action and very animated characters. Appearantly it's so good our son enjoys watching over, and over, and over, etc... The show has a good descriptive way of showing what friendship is all about!
