How to Succeed at Being Yourself 1999 Joyce Meyer HB

Created: 15/07/06
In her usual good nature & earthiness, Meyer gives advice on how to just be yourself. Throwing out the usual psychobabble, she dives right into an admonition to approach life with honesty & the courage to be who we are, & to DO what we are. Though I am not overly fond of Meyer, I did find this to be a nice read, due mostly to her straightforward approach to the subject.

About the Author:

JOYCE MEYER has been teaching the Word of God since 1976 and in full-time ministry since 1980. Previously an associate pastor at Life Christian Church in St. Louis, Missouri, she developed, coordinated, and taught a weekly meeting known as "Life In The Word." After more than five years, the Lord brought it to a conclusion, directing her to establish her own ministry and call it "Life In The Word, Inc." Now, her Life In The Word radio and television broadcasts are seen and heard by millions across the United States and throughout the world.
<p>
Joyce and her husband, Dave have been married for over 35 years. They reside in St. Louis, Missouri, and are the parents of four children. All four children are married and, along with their spouses, work with Dave and Joyce in the ministry. Believing the call on her life is to establish believers in God's Word, Joyce says, "Jesus died to set the captives free, and far too many Christians have little or no victory in their daily lives." Joyce has taught on emotional healing and related subjects in meetings all over the country, helping multiplied thousands.

Helpful To Those Who Lack Confidence

Created: 13/10/06
If you lack confidence, this is the book for you. With her straight-forward approach to topics of broad interest that she has addressed in her own life's struggle, Joyce Meyer addresses the pain of not liking oneself that permiates society today. With helpful tips based on scripture, this New York Times bestselling author gives hope to those who struggle with low self-esteem. Many of my friends have found this to be a helpful book, and I think you will, too. Would make a great gift to someone you know who is a pessimist but you don't feel comfortable telling them so.

Joyce Meyer is straight to the point of how to improve your self confidence by getting rid of the extra baggage in your life. The more you release, the more room you have to allow God to enter your life and receive God's grace and love. Highly recommend reading this book. Joyce Meyer is straight to the point and at the same time encouraging and honest. A must read for those needing encouragement and baggage release!
