Originally released on Prawn Song. Includes liner notes by Les Claypool.All tracks have been digitally remastered.Recorded live in 1990, SUCK ON THIS is the perfect snapshot of Primus in its infancy. The classic line-up of Les Claypool (bass/vocals), Larry LaLonde (guitar), and Tim "Herb" Alexander (drums) was only together for a mere few months when these shows were recorded at California's Berkeley Square (in February and March of '89). Almost every song would be re-recorded in the studio on future releases, but several of the original live versions on SUCK ON THIS remain the definitive ones--such as the kooky narrative "Tommy the Cat" and the snide "The Heckler." Other standouts include such early Primus classics as "John the Fisherman," "Jellikit," "Pudding Time," and "Harold of the Rocks."
