Movie synopsis
A group of terrorists led by a villainous madman (Powers Boothe) takes over a sports arena during the sold-out Stanley Cup finals, holding the vice president of the United States hostage and threatening to blow up the stadium if they don't receive $1 billion by the end of the game. A fireman (Jean-Claude Van Damme) whose daughter is kidnapped during the hockey game must conquer his fears and race against time to save his daughter--and thousands of innocent spectators--before the terrorists carry out their deadly threat.

If you enjoy cheesy action, impossibly ridiculous situations, and great explosions, you need to get this movie.
It's for those that "get" unintentional, and sometimes intentional comedy.
Jean-Claude Van Damme is at his best in Sudden Death, as its up to him to stop terrorists holding the Vice President of the US during game seven of the Stanley Cup Finals.
If you enjoy cheesy action, impossibly ridiculous situations, and great explosions, you need to get this movie.

You get Sudden Death.
I still don't know if Sudden Death is supposed to be taken seriously or if everyone involved thought of it as a big joke. Either way, I will always love it. It's got this aura that surrounds it.
Van Damme and Ice Hockey = Instant Classic.
