Product Information
Sudoku is the puzzle phenomenon from Japan, a game that looks like a math problem, but is in fact a twisting puzzler. The rules are simple: start with a grid consisting of nine three-by-three squares in which some of the numbers are already supplied. Fill in the blank squares so that each column, row, and three-by-three grid contains a number from 1 to 9 with none repeated.

Sudokumania brings touchscreen gameplay and an infinite number of puzzles to the DS with this version of the classic puzzle game. Customize your gameplay by switching between numbers or symbols, changing the difficulty level and choosing between 2 grid sizes to adjust to your personal skill level. Also, take on another player in 2-player Versus Mode.

    Sudoku Mania for Nintendo DS

    Created: 01/09/06
I bought this because I love Sudoku. The advantage to this game is that there are an infinite number of puzzles. I prefer the layout of the game "Sudoku Gridmaster" over this game though, and if I had to choose one, it would be that one. The layout is the only thing that keeps this rating from being an excellent in my opinion.

    Not great.

I've played the sudoku that is just an add on for the Brain Age games, and this sudoku is pitiful in comparison. Doesn't use the touchscreen well, the graphics are bizarre and it just looks and feels like a half effort to put together. Not worth the time.

    Not for Beginners IMO

    Created: 01/08/10
I have many Sudoku games and have been doing Sudoku puzzles for years. There are times when I in the mood for a challenge and times when I'm not, so I do Beginner level puzzles. Well, Sudokumania for the DS really missed the boat in this area! It's "beginner" puzzles are much too challenging in my opinion and I think could cause a real beginner to get discouraged, which would be a real shame. I am a member of Mensa and cut my teeth on a Mensa Sudoku book a couple years ago, finishing even the "diabolical" puzzles eventually, so I think I am a pretty good judge of difficulty levels in this area.
    Just a warning.

Decent game, though the graphics lack.

     | Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

I love Sudoku, and so this was a game I had to have.

I like the game itself, there are two styles of this game. One can select to play traditional Sudoku, with numbers. Or, one can choose to play Sudoku using symbols.

However, I am not impressed with the graphics on this game. There are backgrounds for one to choose to use and most of them are samarai/ninja warrior looking graphics. It just isn't my cup of tea. There is one with Tigers and that is the one I am currently using.
