here is my breakdown of the series using a 5 star rating system.
super star wars 3/3/4stars
super empire strikes back 4 1/2 stars
super return of the jedi 5 stars (easily one of the best side scrolling action games ever made imo.
i give the series a 4 star rating as a whole. the first in the series is a great game but they just get exponentially better as they progress. jedi is outstanding.

No passwords and no run and gun?

) So to start off this game made me mad becuase in order to shoot you have to stand still or jump. You can't simply shoot while running? Another thing that got to me was the fact that there isn't any passwords to start where you left off. So when you make it to the 5th level and want to quit for a while guess what you have to start all over again. There are a few levels with a 3D thing going on that is pretty cool and fairly simple though. While the Star Wars premise makes it fun these 2 simple things bring it down so far that it just can't recover.
Great classic game...If you like side-scrollers

) Super Star Wars is a great classic game. With a whole lot of side-scrolling goodness, this title is a ton of fun. If you are not into the side-scrolling genre, I would advise steering clear of this title. So, if you like classic gaming, or are a Star Wars fan, Super Star Wars for SNES is the the game for you!
