Supernatural Childbirth by Jackie Mize (1993, Paperback)

This book helped my daughter, age 20, glide smoothly through labor recently, in her first pregnancy. We had 2 copies of the book, so we could read it together. With her husband deployed, I was her support in his place. Her 2 sisters were amazed at how well she did without taking any classes. (They have 2 kids each - 2 by home birth, 2 at hospital. All 4 are under 4 years of age.) I was amazed also. We were all present in the delivery room and at times I would open the book and read the Delivery prayer so Jamie could hear it and be relaxed and have no fear. The author herself went through both kinds of labors - without God's words, and then with God's words - which basically says, women should not feel pain in childbirth. The book includes faith inspiring testimonies from other women who have read the book and used it during their pregnancies and deliveries. Whether this is your first pregnancy or your next, you should do yourself a favor and read this book. I'm so glad my sister told us about it.

I have had three since I read this book, and have said each time "I love to be in Labor!" I have had three pain free, Supernatural Labors. This book helped make that happen. The author is effective in providing you with the knowledge you need to have a wonderful labor experience. Every woman in her childbearing years needs this book.

The title sounds a little bit cheesy, but the book was awesome! Very encouraging and exciting to be reminded that we can ask God for anything, even in the area of pregnancy / childbirth! I would definately recommend this book!

As a birth doula and Christian Childbrith Educator I found this book indispensible. Most books are geared (about pregnancy) towards the biology, hospital procedures, and the medications you can have. As a Christian I believe the Lord is at every birth and the biblical quotations and scripture to back up the reality of birth were awesome.

this is an amazing book. it has really educcated my wife on how to control common symptons in pregnancy. am really glad i purchased it.
