This game is FANTASTIC!

Created: 12/11/07
I had loads of fun with this game, for hours on end!

This game is great because of its levels of difficulty. Anyone (yes, even your mom) could pick up this game and play it without too much trouble. Once you get good at it, you can really start drumming, and at times, sound like a real pro.

There is nothing more satisfying than playing this game on a high difficulty to a song you love and passing the level with flying stars.

If you can find this game for a fair price - go for it. The drums are VERY durable and can really take a good beating. I have never had a problem with them, and I play with a lot of force. The song list is diverse and everyone can find a song they like.

This game is great for parties. LOVE IT!

Taiko Drums Master roxx! xD

Created: 02/06/06
I play real taiko drums and some friends told me that there was a taiko arcade machine on the shopping. I had to try it and couldn't stop playing... xD Its so fun that I couldn't not buy this game later. But its not something to play alone or without two taiko drum controllers. You need to have a few friends to play with you and have a pair of taiko drums. I am not saying you can't play with normal controllers, but it will loose much of the fun.

Some songs, player one and player two play complementary parts of the same music.

There are two versions of this game. This one, Taiko Drums Master ENGLISH and the japanese version, Taiko no Tatsujin. Some musics are common for both games, some are not. Both work with the same drum cotroller.

Musics are divided in Anime, J-POP, Classic (play Mozart on taiko? yep) and there are some others. There is one of Naruto's songs xD All musics have easy, normal, hard and devil levels xD Devil level needs to be unlocked by good scores.

There is a competition mode where you play a sequence of mini games based on how fast you can beat, plus music play. All game characters are also very funny xD

Very fun, for nerds like me ^^

Taiko Drum Master Rocks the Playstation

Created: 06/06/07
Taiko Drum Master is an awesome twist on the video game, tying music into the video format, in much the same way that Guitar Hero does, but with a more realistic instrument - a smaller version of a Taiko drum. This game uses a large variety of well-known music, in every genre from classical (such as Willam Tell Overture) to classic rock (I'm a Believer by Neil Diamond) along with some pretty cool original music as well, to hook the player into trying to match increasingly complex rhythms. With three levels of difficulty on every song, it is fun for all ages from young children to adults. The visuals are entertaining as they guide you through each song, reinforcing your successes as you are rated for accuracy and performance. But the real twist is the physical exercise you don't realize you're doing (you WILL strengthen your arms if you play very often). Not too many video games outside of Dance Dance Revolution can claim to burn calories, but this one does, in a fun and entertaining way that will keep bringing you back for more. It is highly addictive, fun for the whole family!

Fun Genre

This game is the only Taiko Drumb import from Japan. The American Pop music songs are campy and don't flow with the game well, but the rest are great! I would recommend this game to anybody who likes America's favorite music video games such as Guitar Hero, Rock Band, Dance Dance Revolution, Gitaroo Man and Beat Mania. This is a must have for fans of Pop'n Music, Para Para Paradise, Percussion Freaks and other Japanese imports.

taiko drum master ps2 game

Created: 09/06/06
this game is really addicting. a few rounds of the "easy" mode and i was hooked. i didnt stop pounding the drums until i was able to do some of the "medium" difficulty. it gets frustrating after awhile, especially with the faster beats. but with practice i know i'll get better. I love rhythm game, and this one has a more fun feel to it than drummania. Only complaints is the song selection...theres a few pop songs in there, but theres also some kiddie music. i guess i'm used to hard rockin' japanese rock beats of drummania. Love this game. Get it if you find it.
