Product Information
Taito Legends features 29 classic games in all. Long-time video game fans can re-live memories of their first arcade experiences with Space Invaders (1978), Jungle Hunt (1982), Zoo Keeper (1982), and Elevator Action (1983). Players weaned on prior console ports of Bubble Bobble (1986), Operation Wolf (1987) and Rastan (1987) can finally play these games at home exactly as they appeared in arcades. And everybody will enjoy discovering forgotten classics like the addictive puzzler Tube-It (1993) and the hectic shooter Exzisus (1987).

Better than you'd expect.

I originally bought this disc for the Bubble Bobble game (and who doesn't love Bubble Bobble?). I was shocked and ecstatic to find Gladiator on there (I never knew the name of the game during it's brief visit to our arcade). Ninja Kids has taken several spins on the xbox with our kids, Jungle Hunt is absolutely charming (though dated, being from the Intellivision days). Rainbow islands, Rastan and Zookeeper have drawn us in for more than one session (especially Rastan for my sons). The other games are worth at least a look, (who can help but feel a touch of nostalgia playing Space Invaders or Phoenix -though I miss the 2 player co-op S.I. from Atari 2600) and for what you end up paying for this title I'd highly recommend it! If you grew up in the 80's this one is a must have.

Retro Gaming Review

Created: 14/02/07
Taito Legends is Retro Gaming in its purest form. Go back to a time before all the glitz and special effects of modern graphics. Taito's arcade library was more about the gameplay and the simplicity of using at most one or two buttons. Most games in this compilation are simple, straightforward, and can be played without the need for lengthy instruction manuals. Fighters, shooters, and puzzle games are all represented in their original arcade glory.

It is just like playing an arcade game, so if you like that then this would work for you. Lots of games to choose from.

No 360 support

Was excited to get this game with hopes of playing all the games I grew up with on my sons XBOX 360, unfortunately, they have not made it compatible like they did with many of the other original XBOX games. Very disappointed.
