Tales from the Chicago Blackhawks by Harvey Whitenberg

I loved the book! Anybody who is a Blackhawk fan from the '60's through today's upstart Hawks will appreciate what Harvey has to say. Harvey, himself is a legend, having been the announcer at the old Chicago Stadium, and from time to time today at the United Center. Although retired, Harvey delights his readers with neat little anecdotes about the the Bobby Hull era and beyond. His stories are captivating and kept me glued to the book until I finished it. Easy reading, Harvey's stories will allow you to reminisce about the past 50+ years of Blackhawks history as seen through his eyes. As a person who has always appreciated the golden tones of Harvey announcing; "Blackhawks goal, his 26th of the season, scored by #18 - Denis Savard - Assists to #20 - Al Secord and #28 - Steve Larmer - time of the goal 14 (minutes):23 (seconds)" - then Harvey would quickly repeat the same goal announcement. How could you not appreciate the interesting stories of Blackhawks history as told through the memories of Harvey Whittenberg? I give it 5 stars *****, a must read for any long-time Blackhawk fan.
