I have a great liking for Edgar Rice Burroughs' stories, and in particular, Tarzan. I have read all of the novels and seen almost all of the movies. The Casper Van Dien version is quite good and fans of this genre should love it's storyline and the great shots of the jungle, etc.

As far as Tarzan movies go, this is one of the better ones. The actor really looked the part, especially when he got his bow and quiver. I didn't like the way they changed the whole idea of the Lost City of Opar, it was supposed to be a remnant of Atlantis, but they changed it to just an ancient african city. Oh, well, it's a decent movie for diehard fans. Not as good as the Disney Tarzan, but the best live action since Wesmuller.

CASPER VAN DIEN ONLY PLAYED TARZAN ONCE IN THE FRANCHISE. THIS VERSION OF TARZAN IS MORE FANTASY THAN ALL THE OTHER TARZAN MOVIES BUT WAS ENTERTAINING. GREAT PICTURE AND SOUND.

Great for Tarzan buffs-- not exactly Gone With The Wind-- but still fun. I think Tarzan movies are really great.
