) This collection restores the remaining Johny Weissmuller Tarzan films, and co-star Johnny Sheffield grows up before viewers' eyes. Maureen O'Sullivan is replaced by Brenda Joyce, who is pretty and swims nicely with Tarzan, but the whole series has become too tame, with Tarzan and Jane leading a nearly suburban lifestyle in their cozy little tree house in the jungle and Tarzan being the super ecologist and protector of all that is good and right. He doesn't have much of a challenge to overcome in any of the movies and is never in much apparent danger. It is a rather ho-hum denouement of the series, and of course not true to the Edgar Rice Burroughs novels in the least.

) This was a great gift for those who grew up in the "era". Trust me on this. Bought it for a great friend who is a Johnny Weissmuller as "Tarzan" fan and he went was VERY appreciative.

) Finally - the last 6 of Weissmuller's Tarzan movies are out on DVD! What a treat. Even though some of the movies are weak and Weissmuller is aging by the final movie, these are still great Tarzan movies for Weissmuller fans. Worth every bit the purchase!!

I just love Johnny Weissmuller as Tarzan.He was born for the part.He was Tarzan.My nine year old granddaughter and I have look at them over and over again.I think they are priceless.I tell her that they were made before I was born,which they were.Today they spend millons on making movies and none can stand up or come close to the original Tarzan.I think that is so sad.I cherish my DVDS vols. 1 and 2.Thank you Ebay and the seller I purchase them from.Thanks so much!!!!! elnermb@aol.com

Good clean entertainment with good morals to the story.

I bought it because I know that it is good clean entertainment. What I like about it is how the movies show that there are more important things in life than riches. There isn't anything that I dislike about these movies. I highly recommend this product.
