A Taste of Darkness by Nina Bangs
Created: 11/12/06
This book by Nina Bangs was really enjoyable to read. Her writing style of wit and humor along with romance keeps the reader enthralled. I have read many of Nina's books and they just keep getting better. Some of her books are best understood if read in sequence. Although this is a good stand alone book as well, it mixes in well with her other books 1)Master of Ecstasy 2)Night Bites, 3)Wicked Nights 4)A Taste of Darkness 5)Wicked Pleasure. All of these paranormal books are done with great finesse. Highly recommend all.

I loved this series. Nina is such a clever writer very entertaining and extreamly funny. Her imagination is a work of art kept me turning pages. Charachters are well thought out as are plots and stories. I just laughed and smiled my way through all her books i could get my hands on. She has built a world of vampires, gods, demons, were creatures and cosmic trouble makers my personal favorites, and many more. Great stories great romance!!!

Vampires and virgins. How can you go wrong there? Throw in some Were-beasts and a few cosmic troublemakers and you get a very good read. Full of steamy love scenes and some credibly good writing. Nina Bangs is no Anne Rice but she gets her point across well. This is a great evening on the couch kind of book. Problem is once you start reading you can’t put it down so your evening could last until late into the night.

Fantastic Paranormal Romance

The problem with paranormal romances, like most other types of romance, is that after awhile they all seem alike. Not so with this book! This is the first book by Nina Bangs that I have read, and I was very impressed. From the very first sentence you get a healthy dose of attitude and a very unique narrative voice. There are plenty of vampires and were-animals to go around and Bangs manages to make even the secondary characters seem realistic and fully developed. A really terrific novel and a quick read. I highly recommend this one for fans of Sherrilyn Kenyon and Lynsay Sands.
