Simply the Best Irons I Have Ever Played!
Created: 14/04/07
Let me start off by saying that I am a 7 handicap golfer and wasn't really sure if these game improvement irons would be what I was looking for in an iron since the traditional line of thought is to get a set of irons designed for low to mid handicaps when you reach my handicap. I took a chance and bought them and have not regretted it for a second. The ball launches high off the club face, fly straight as an arrow, and are about 10 to 15 yards longer per club than my Cobra 2300 I/M irons. Even mishits get good distance. I have had problems with my old set hitting my 4 iron, I even gave up on it and got a hybrid. I don't use the hybrid anymore after hitting the CGB Max 4 iron. It is the easiest long iron to hit that I have ever tried. The only thing that some may not like, but is not really a problem for me, is that there really is no feedback from the club when you hit a good shot. In fact, there really isn't much of a feeling to me at all. However, I take this as feedback, because you can feel the mishits, and when you hit it good and don't feel it, that's feedback to me. I would recommend this iron really to all handicap levels. It has boosted my confidence, distnce, and accuracy and I think it would do the same for anyone who gives these irons a shot.

TaylorMade r7 cgb MAX Irons
Created: 08/12/06
If your in the market for new irons do some homework and you'll find these clubs match up extremely well to the Calloway Fusion and Ping Raptures for much less. The taylormade R7 CGB MAX Irons is one of the best irons made. It's a very well balanced and forgiving club that helps you stay on plane with an effortless swing. While only having these clubs for a short period my handicap has dropped from a 16 to 10 and my distance has increased about 15-20 yrds with a nice high trajectory. I believe these irons can help the beginner golfer to get his/her handicap within the average 10-18, and the average handicap get to those single digit numbers. I'm working on that now! Check with your local golf store. These clubs sell for 1200- 1400 dollars depending on the shaft you choose. I got mine on ebay from a reputable dealer and saved almost $600.00. You can't go wrong with these clubs....good luck!!!

Taylor fakes
Created: 22/02/07
I also recently purchased a set of r7 cbg max irons 3-sw graphite that turned out to be fakes. I took these clubs to the local pro shop for authentication. They were so perfect that we almost couldn't see a difference when compared side by side. These 99.999% fake clubs did have some differences which I will list: the embossed RAC letters on the hosel were yellow instead of no color, the stripes on the black plastic finial are wider apart, the circular milled finish on each of the tungsten weights is larger, the fakes are are approximately 1 inch shorter (sorry didn't measure exactly), and last but not least the serial number on the 7 iron didn't match the set discription from Taylormade. Taylor said my set was supposed to be 5-LW steel shafts not 3-SW grafite. According to Taylor these counterfeit manufacturers are stealing serial numbers from display clubs in pro shops and putting them on their clubs. I suggest to anyone interested in purchasing one of these sets is to email the seller for the serial number so you can call Taylor before bidding. Good Luck

TaylorMade r7 cgb MAX Iron set Golf Club
Created: 10/04/09
I bid and won a set of new Talyormade(2008)r7 cgb MAX irons with graphite shafts. I love them. My set actually had 9 clubs, including an "A" wedge, SW and PW. So, it was 4 iron through SW. I got them delivered for less than $500 and they were the real deal. I had them checked out just to make sure. They do add about 1 club distance, so I am actually back to where I use to hit the ball when I was in my 40's--I am 63 and have a 10 handicap. I play 5-6 times a week. I have had no problems. The person I dealt with had 100% positive feedback and offered to take them back with a full refund if I was not pleased
that they were the real deal--not fakes. I will say that even though they have graphite shafts, they have a similar weight to the Callayay fusions I was using with steel shafts.

Bought the whole set

After using the TaylorMade Bubble 2 irons and woods for years...I was ready for the some new clubs..I researched several models...Pings,Cobra,TaylorMade..
R7 CGB MAX irons felt the best...took several rounds of golf to get the distance each iron hit to feel comforable with new set...Completed this golf club purchase with new R7 CGB 9 degree stiff shaft driver and matching 3 wood.
This might just be the last set of clubs I`ll ever buy..
