Nova Drive used with a G-system, the best of both worlds.

I bought this particular listing because it included the MIDI-Y cable that integrates it with the TC-G System. When you power up the G-sys it reads on the window Nova Drive detected.

I was immediately impressed with the tones of the drive and the distortion. It all about how do you want to sound. This will give you any options you could imagine. Thus you want an amp that has that just right clean and dirty tome. For me and many pros that's the famous Marshall 800 from the earlie 80's

It is programmable from with-in the G-Sys. menu and allows you to save 18 different preset on the Nova Drive itself. You just pick a patch on the G-Sys and then adjust the parameters on the Nova Drive (turn the knob to a preset) then save the patch (on the G-sys) simple as that. You could also just have it up front and step on either the drive or distortion buttons to use it in a stomp box way.

So to simplify my world I just use an old Marshall 800 vertical input combo with 1 - 12" speaker set clean around 6 on the pre and the master to what ever the appropriate volume is for the moment, when you use the nova drive it's just like the record, it doesn't sound like a Marshall...it is a Marshall.

Best multi effect pedal under 500.00

The great thing about the Nova System is the ability to turn off and on each effect within each preset. It's like having 60 pedalboards at your feet, all customizable, with expression pedal and midi inputs to make navigating the presets a breeze. Another HUGE plus- it's really easy to tweak on the fly. If you want to change the delay, press the delay button, then tweak with the parameter knobs, then press store. Done.
I've heard that it's easier to use than it's big brother, the G-System, but of course doesn't do everything that the G-system can do.
What I don't like- no power button, when it's plugged in, it's on. But that's a minor complaint and has nothing to do with it's excellent sounds. Then only other complaint is that it doesn't have a patch editor or library available online. Otherwise, LOVE IT.

I like this system a lot. It is better for studio work than for live sound. It takes some time to learn how to program it. The sound quality and effects are outstanding. TC Electronic is one of the very best manufacturer's of guitar effects in the world. I own several other TC Electronic products. I am a very happy customer.

TC electronics Overdrive dual

TC Electronic's is the bomb when it comes to guitar enhancements and this pedal is no exception. It has a nice warm feel on one channel, while the other is raw and really rocks. Would recommend to any guitarist.

I have wanted to own The Nova Sytem for about 3 years now. Saw a demo of the unit and tried it out at G.C. a couple of times. I prefer the multi effect type units and this is top of the line for multi effects.
