Team Fortress 2 (PC, 2007)

This is another very good game made by Valve. It's actually one of the best releases in online multi-player games. I would suggest anyone who is interested in online games to buy this game either at a store or online at SteamPowered.com. This game is fairly new and updates are constantly being added to the game engine. The price is $19.99 in the US for this game which is fantastic because it's online. You can play it anytime without getting bored of it.

This is a very unique fast paced online deathmatch with many different options. You can choose between 2 different types of teams (Blue or Red). Each team has the same characters, but there are 9 different ones. Each have a different purpose/mission along with unique, cool and different weapons. Your mission is to capture the other teams base and kill them. You get points for captures, kills, assists etc.. There are many different maps, also some custom ones. Team Fortress 2 is a great online multiplayer game. The graphics are fun and scalable to a range of systems. The specialist, team based approach to the first person shooter can accomodate many playing styles from the casual gamer (try the soldier or demo man) to the twitchiest hard core FPS specialist (the Scout is your guy) and everyone in between. the controls are simple to learn and the game engaging from the first minute. The achievment system gives the player a constantly moving goal to improve their play and the class system adds tremendous strategic depth to the various games. I highly recommend TF2 to anyone interested in online gaming. For even greater value look for the Orange Box collection which also includes the brilliant puzzle game Portal.

I bought this game for my son, who is 16 years old. He loves to play this game! He said the game is fun and unique. It is never the same game twice, which really adds to the interest and entertainment value. There are surprises and unexpected happenings around every corner. In his words, "It is a game like no other!!!!!!"
On a parental note, it is not meant for the younger player. It is a first person shooting game, and although I do not condone violence, if you keep it in the game, it is entertaining for those who can handle the mature content.

By Far one of the best games to play online. Valve has made, yet again, another amazing game. TF2 is a class oriented game with many modes, if their is one game mode you do not like, then just play another. A must for any gamer.
