Tech 21 SansAmp Bass Driver DI Distortion Guitar Effect Pedal

Seriously. If your a bass player, or an engineer... GET THIS. You will not be Disappointed. Total control of the sound. Ability to blend with natural tones from the instrument. Added distortion or gain that sounds really good as well. There is a Tech 21 Programable with three programable settings also. It is supposed to use the same electronics as the Tech 21 SansAmp Bass. This would also be a good choice in my opinion. This thing will seriously make a crap bass sound good.

What can I say, from the small amount of pedals I own this is the only one that gets used all the time (I never turn it off). Just this week I left my pedals at the rehearsel room so I had to plug my guitar straight into my amp and I just stopped playing cause my bass sounded so dull ... lifeless ...
In my ears this pedal really brings my rig to life: when switching it on I can immediately get that deep and punchy mid ranged sound (it does cut some mids but I compensate this by adding a 3-4dB boost in the low-mid section), whenever this pedal is on my solid-state amp sounds like a tube amp, incredible (ofcourse it's not the real thing but man what a difference!).

Another thing it does is bring my other effects to life: when I run my Little Big Muff without the BBDI it sounds very 'superficial' but when the Sansamp is on it roars!
If this were stolen or if it broke down I would certainly buy a new one or upgrade to the 3 selector version.

Been doing a lot of rock/jazz/groove stuff and dealing with terrible sound systems and old beat-up DIs on the road. bought this and my trumpet magically sounds like a trumpet again. I am able to get that nice warm trumpet sound I am always looking for using the EQ, and can turn up the drive and use some distortion on some stuff as well. Love it. Get it. Not just for bass and guitar players!!!

This pedal save the sound of all amplifiers and basses. Don't matter what kind of music you play, it's very flexible!
I bought the model with 3 channels, so i don't need nothing more in my life. I can progame 3 different sounds, and then i just have to choose one and rock!!!

The Tech 21 SansAmp Bass Driver DI Distortion Guitar Effect Pedal is a very affordable and wonderful bass tool indeed. This hardware instantly performed for me. Before I had this pedal I was really struggling to get a nice reggae bass sound for my home studio. I have used it without any other hardware straight into an instrument input on my lovely Saffire Liquid 56 audio interface and have achieved very professional results.

It is very easy to operate and comes with clear instructions of various bass settings. The reggae bass setting is excellent for the price and I have no hesitations in recommending the SansAmp to any bassist for recording or live work, who is on a budget.
