Tecmo Super Bowl (Sega Genesis, 1993)

This game was the precursor to that yearly game that costs us at least $50 everytime. When this game came out, the world of sports has seen nothing like it. The style of game play is arcade like, yet realistic. If you just want to have fun and not worry about the Ram Dogs Middle Linebacker Blitz Safety Spy, this is the game for you. This game is the 2nd generation of the grand-daddy of them all. Sports Talk Football was rediculous and unrealistic. Madden was an infant and somewhat silly when this game was released. Tecmo Super Bowl paved the way for what we have today. If you still have a Sega Genesis or Super Nintendo laying around somewhere, dust it off and pick up this game. Or if you have an original NES buried somewhere, break it free from the fossilized rock and fire it up. This game is sure to please any football fan, and if it doesn't you should see a shrink. A truly classic game.

This game is a must have for any serious Genesis gamer, get yourself a mobile Quarterback, set all your passing plays to shotgun and have fun setting NFL records in passing,rushing, receiving and even Sacks when you learn to get control of your best defensive lineman. Whats great about this game is that the game gets more difficult as the season goes along and as good as I have got, I've lost playoffs games and I enjoy that competition. Even if you have Tecmo Superbowl 3 where you can build up players to your specification this game is always fun for when you want a challenge and want to relive all those great former NFL players

Me and my brothers grew up on tecmo super bowl. About a year ago i decided to get a piece of my childhood back by buying a sega genesis and i completed my collection with the purchase of this item. I love it and i didn't think i would still get the same thrill playing it now like i did then. Thank you eBay.

This is what sports gaming should be. Simple, fun, addictive, and games that don't take forty-five minutes to complete. This is close to the perfect two-player game. If you have any interest in football it's a must-play.

This was my first football game to own. Its still one of my favorites and I still play it every now and then. It has 3 different schedule that you can choose to play and ahs all the teams from when it came out. I would recomend this to sega owners. The graphics arnt the best though thats one of only a few flaws.
