Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Season 2 (DVD, 2005)

Theatrical release: 1990 | Rating: Not Rated

Movie synopsis

Every kid's favorite fighting turtles are back, battling the forces of evil and enjoying plenty of pizza. Originally little turtles of the everyday kind, Michaelangelo, Donatello, Raphael, and Leonardo fell into a New York City sewer, where they first encountered Yoshi, a Japanese man who lived there. When the turtles came into contact with a glowing green byproduct, they were transformed into humanoid giant turtles, while Yoshi became Splinter, a giant ninja rat. Splinter taught the boys everything he knew about ninjitsu, so they could go to work fighting the evil Shredder and his master, Krang, from Dimension X; these villains are intent upon taking over the Earth, and the turtles are their main obstacle. The ninjas are sometimes aided in their quest by April O'Neil, a news reporter who is the only human who knows about the mutants. In the second season, Shredder is allowed by Krang to return to Earth, but as punishment for failing to defeat the turtles, he is forced to go it alone. Meanwhile, the gang is charged with finding the Three Fragments of the Eye of Zarnov, fragments of a spaceship that must be kept from landing in the wrong hands. Episodes include "It Came From Beneath The Sewers," "Splinter No More," "New York's Shiniest," and "Return of the Technodrome."

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Season 2

Created: 01/01/10
This is the complete second season of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles that originally aired in 1988 and it is perfect for any nostalgic TMNT fan. However corny it may be by modern standards, back when I was a kid it was one of my favorites.

This 1-disc set includes the following 13 episodes: Return of the Shredder, The Incredible Shrinking Turtles, It Came from Beneath the Sewers, The Mean Machines, Curse of the Evil Eye, The Case of the Killer Pizzas, Enter: The Fly, Invasion of the Punk Frogs, Splinter No More, New York's Shiniest, Teenagers from Dimension X, The Cat Woman from Channel Six and Return of the Technodrome.

Ninja Turtles is classic 80's cartoon fun perfect for kids of any age.

Turtle power running strong!

Created: 04/09/09
Your favorite classic turtles are back in their second TV season! At the end of the first season, Shredder was sucked into Demention X along with Krang, Bebop, Rocksteady, all the foot soldiers, and the entire Technidrome. Season 2 starts out with Shredder being sent back to Earth by Krang to defeat the turtles and make ready for his return. However, Krang refuses to send Bebop and Rocksteady for most of the season, showing just how incompetent Shredder can be at times without peons to do his bidding, at times making the adult audience wonder how he could ever be a threat. People who grew up with show should be able to look past this, as well as other plot holes and inconsistencies in the series. Classic episodes in the second series include Attack of the Killer Pizzas, Baxter Stockman turning into a mutant fly, Irma learning the truth of the ninja turtles, and the return of the Technidrome.

Kids will love it, adult fans of the show will be treated to fond old memories, and current parents should be able to enjoy a few episodes with their kids.

Bought it for my husband

Created: 05/11/06
I bought this as a gift for my husband. He loves it! He's still such a child at heart, and this brings back a lot of childhood memories, so, I highly recommend this movie, if you were a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle fan back in the day! Anyway, he insisted that it be this one, the orignal. He told me I could tell the difference between the original and the newer one by the fact that in the original series, the turtles had visible eyes. Hope this is helpful!
