Tekken (Sony PlayStation 1, 1996)

Some will argue that 3D fighters were lackluster until Tekken came along with this first incarnation. Indeed it seemed impossible that 1991's Street Fighter II could be challenged as an incredibly accessible and fun fighter.

Certainly Tekken changed my view. I never enjoyed 3D fighters that came before this, such as Virtua Fighter, and was skeptical that Tekken would be any good.

It was better than good. With excellent character design, nearly flawless fighting mechanics, and a host of special moves and combos that dwarfed its 2D competitors, Tekken was a revolutionary title that has since spawned 5 sequels.

One feature I particularly love about the Playstation version of the game is the ability to play the arcade classic Galaga during most of the loading screens.

If you have an itch to play classic games, and you enjoy the fighting genre (or think you may enjoy playing a classic fighter) I highly recommend both Tekken and Tekken 2.

one out of every 7 play station fanatics know and love this game ... and thats alot . no not the whole plant earth know about it, but lets say half .. the other half where the sun rise first .

its matching game death match . 18 charictors bitween male fighters and female fighters each one of them is powerfull comptedor put U have to study the moves so U can succeed and each one of them have one or two magical sets of moves its just keep the excitment level going higher and higher.
the game have nice detailing and very nice effects and godsh sound and music .U can play singl tournetment or 2 player either way its fantastic and each charictor have sad story and dramatization. the graphic works in this game unbeleavable. from personal expieriance i loved this game when i was 17 or 18 ,and videogaming is not my favorit hobby but i,m 25 and i still love this game (it need be said by some one and here i said it )

This game come out to life to continue the legacy of mortel combat the movie and sega games but the team that creat this game broke the mold and went the extra mile to try something diffrent . and they did it. made diffreance in my life and in the other 200 million guy on the other part of the plant we sow wolrd of options and possibalities. and i would to say to the parents yes let your kids play this game it dose not involve fire arms or explosiv's and steeling cars or any thing like that.its about martial arts with touch of magic and dose not show nude pictures or motivated assult from any kind ... its all about kung fu and karate and brizilian jujetsu and that prity much it .

U might think i played this game all my life, no. i played it for while every week when i was in high school and after i pass huge exam i feel that i desirv it to play for hour and go back to my bissnes . and didnt grow up looser or loony . i am married and i have diploma in electricity and i dont have kids and i,m planning to get in to the software bissnes in 2010. yes let your kids play it.

this is a classic game and the start of one of the all time best fighting series. It came complete with the booklet and there where few scratches on it, but it looked like they came from use.

I actually first started with Tekken 3 for the playstation 1, I grew to love this series after that, one of my favorite fighting games. Tekken 1 should be in every hardcore fan's home.

I bought it to add to my Tekken games. I liked the recent Tekken games and I wanted to see how it all began. It is a good game.
