Tekken Tag Tournament (PlayStation)
Created: 12/01/11
believe that Tekken has always been one of the best fighting series on any platform and that Namco (the publisher & developer) makes some of the best games around including Ridge Racer, Soul Caliber and Time Crisis series. Tekken Tag Tournament (TTT) is the combination of all 3 Tekken games with a nice look.
The game starts out with a very nice CG (computer generated) intro. Namco has some of the world's best CG animators and you can see that in a lot of Namco's games like R4. Just like you were first blown away by the powerful Tekken 3 intro, you'll get the same effect by this one.
The gameplay remains the same as in Tekken 3, except for some new moves. The main feature in TTT is that there is now a 'tag' option. You pick your two characters and then you tag in and out while fighting your other 2 opponents. It's really nice because you can perform double-combos with the two characters together. In total, there are over 30 characters to choose from. They are all gathered from the series' 3 games. Each has their own, unique 3 to 2 types of clothing, and LOTS of moves and combos to be creative with. The graphics are what you'd expect from PlayStation2. But this is only the beginning. I'm sure Tekken 4 will be much better. The backgrounds are very nice with moving people and objects like flangs and plants. There is even an area where you fight on grass and you can step on it and see the effect of how it's smashed.
Overall, Tekken Tag Tournamet is only a sort of a 'preview' of what we can expect from PlayStation2 and Namco in the years to come.

One of the best fighting games ever!

If you've ever played any Tekken game before, you already know how great the series is. A vast set of characters (over 30!), great graphics, a great set of controls, and many modes are included in this game. And now you have the option of "Tag"! Partner up with your favorite characters and unleash some pain. This game is definitely for fans of the series, as while as casual gamers ooking for a great fighting game.
Gameplay
- Many modes
- Many characters
- New moves
- When one partner dies, you lose (unlike other games that let you keep fighting until both partners are dead)
Overall: 10
Graphics
- Looks incredible (especially compared to the arcade version, which is ugly in comparison)
- Many different, beautiful costumes for each character
- Gorgeous backgrounds; very detailed in some
Overall: 8
Sound
- Too much techno in some arenas (bad thing for some, not for others)
Overall: 8
Value
- After you unlock all the characters, theres no reason to play any singles competition
- Make sure you have friends! The multiplayer modes will be where you spend most (95%) of your time with this game
Overall: 10
This game is recommended.

I am a Tekken fan so wanted to try this game. I wasn't really sure about it, but got it for a great price. Honestly, the game was better than expected. I heard that it was the worst game and that it was a waste of time. But it's not! The game is great and one of my favorite Tekken games. The art is better then the previous ones and is a lot like Tekken 3 when it comes to artwork. You can play 1 player, but it is all based on a 2-player concept. You get to see ending stories for each character and sometimes a character may have two endings. There is also a bonus of getting the tekken bowl and gallery options depending on how far you get. You get to unlock a lot of charactes including the boss character "unknown." But the game is pretty easy, even for someone like me so you will probably want to pick the hard option.

Tekken Tag Tournament PS2 Good 3D Fighting game!!

Tekken Tag Tournament (PS2) is FUN, plain and simple. The best part of this game is the tag-team style similar to Capcom's versus series, so you can switch between 2 different characters whenever you like. You can even have up to FOUR players, with each player controlling a different fighter in the tag battle. No-one is left out. The moves are easy to learn, it is suitable for teens and adults, and the graphics are ok, not perfect but good.

Tekken Tag Tournament (PS2)

I love this game. I currently have the Tekken 5 for PS2 because the disc that I bought for Tag Tournament got scratched. I like Tekken 5 for the better gameplay and graphics but I like the Tag Team Aspect of Tag Tournament. I also like the Ogre Characters that you can get as well as some of the older Tekken Characters that are available to unlock. The gameplay is Excellent for Tag Tournament, and it's definitely one of my favorite versions of the series. I think that if Tekken 5 had a Tag Mode where you could play with another player against the computer it would be the perfect version of the Series. Hopefully in Version 6 (Which I just found out won't be available for PS2) They add all the features of all the games thus far.
