Hacking.Another batch of solid roots rock songs from the Hoopsnakes. Like most bar bands, the group has a tendency to get silly and corny, "It Ain't Easy Bein' Me" and "Blues Attack" being prime examples, just one listen to the sweeping slide guitar in "Devil Comes Knockin'" or the singalong chorus of "One Good Reason" kind of makes you wish you were in the crowded audience, surrounded by cigarette smoke and cheap beer. An attraction that, after all, is the mark of a good bar band. ~ Steve Kurutz
