Terminator Salvation Blu-ray
Created: 22/06/10
The fourth installment of the TERMINATOR series follows an adult John Connor (played by Christian Bale) as he attempts to organize a human resistance force which could prove to be mankind's last true hope in the war against the machines. Opening in the year 2018, TERMINATOR SALVATION finds John Connor's certainty about the future shaken by the sudden appearance of a mysterious stranger named Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington), whose last memory is of sitting on death row and awaiting execution. Unable to determine whether Marcus was sent from the future or rescued from the past, Conno begins to wonder whether there is still any hope left for the human race as the robots grow more powerful and aggressive than ever before. It appears that Skynet is preparing a devastating final attack designed to eliminate the human resistance once and for all, leaving Connor and Marcus with no choice but to strike back at the cybernetic heart of Skynet's operations. Once there, the two battle-scarred soldiers discover a devastating secret regarding the potential annihilation of all humankind. Anton Yelchin fills Michael Biehn's shoes as a young Kyle Reese in the first installment of a planned TERMINATOR trilogy from director McG (CHARLIE'S ANGELS).

Delivers Us Into Bleakness Way Past Judgement Day!
Created: 24/12/09
Director McG (Joseph McGinty) brings us up to and beyond the early stages of war between man and machines. The savior of the rebellion, John Conner (Christian Bale) is doing everything he can to make sure man survives the future. John Connor is the man fated to lead the human resistance against Skynet and its army of Terminators. He thinks he has found a way to ensure that, and he also learns that the machines have targeted the man who's supposed to father him, Kyle Reese.
One of Conner's female rebels Blair Williams, meets up with Marcus Wright who has had no prior knowledge of the Judgment Day of the past. When they reach the base they discover Wright is part machine and suspect that he was sent by Skynet. Wright claims this is not true. We aren't for sure either, although the film start us in 2003, in the Longview State Correctional Facility, Marcus Wright is on death row. He is prompted to help research by a Dr. Serena Kogan to donate his body.
Leaping forward to 2018, after an unsuccessful attack to a Skynet facility, only John Connor survives, but he discovers that Skynet is developing the powerful new model T-800. Out of the blue, Marcus appears from below with experiencing amnesia. Marcus soon meets and befriends the teenager Kyle Reese and the girl Star that help him survive the lethal terminator machines. They get a Jeep running and take off on the run. The resistance discovers a signal that might turn-off the machines and John offers to test it. When Kyle is captured by a machine and brought to the Skynet headquarter, Marcus decides to help the youngster and heads to Skynet. But Marcus steps on a mine and is submitted to a surgery, when a secret about his origin is disclosed. Connor must decide whether Marcus has been sent from the future, or rescued from the past. As Skynet prepares its final onslaught, Connor and Marcus both embark on an odyssey that takes them into the heart of Skynet’s operations, where they uncover the terrible secret behind the possible annihilation of mankind.
John Connor is the man fated to lead the human resistance against Skynet and its army of Terminators.
I'm giving this film a 5/5 for keeping true to the story-line and having fantastic action and adventure leading to the next sequel.

Very Good

I am a big fan of the Terminator movies and honestly the second and third were nowhere near as good as the first one. This one, in my opinion was very close to being better than the first one (it isn't but it was close). It is extremely action pack. It it is pretty much not stop action from the start of the movie to the end. It also has a good storyline and it doesn't really have that much language in it. This movie is by far one of the best movies made this year. I hope that the next Terminator movie will be as good as this one is.
I would rate all the movies in this order...
#1-1st
#2-3rd
#3-4th
#4-2nd
The year is 2018. Judgment Day has come and gone, leveling modern civilization. An army of Terminators roams the post-apocalyptic landscape, killing or collecting humans where they hide in the desolate cities and deserts. But small groups of survivors have organized into a Resistance, hiding in underground bunkers and striking when they can against an enemy force that vastly outnumbers them. Controlling the Terminators is the artificial intelligence network Skynet, which became self-aware 14 years earlier and, in the blink of an eye, turned on its creators, unleashing nuclear annihilation on an unsuspecting world. Only one man saw Judgment Day coming. One man, whose destiny has always been intertwined with the fate of human existence: John Connor(Christian Bale). Now the world is on the brink of the future that Connor has been warned about all his life. But something totally new has shaken his belief that humanity stands a chance of winning this war: the appearance of Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington), a stranger from the past whose last memory is of being on Death Row before awakening in this strange, new world. Connor must decide whether Marcus can be trusted, but as Skynet adapts new strategies to end the Resistance forever, Connor and Marcus must find common ground to take a stand against the onslaught to infiltrate Skynet and meet the enemy head-on.

Terminator Salvation - John Connor's story

Christian Bale (Batman Begins and the Dark Knight) stars as John Connor in this fourth installment of the Terminator series.
Set in the year 2018, John Connor leads an attack by the Resistance on a Skynet base (Skynet destroyed most of humanity in a nuclear attack. The movie is very involved in the life of the resistance leader and those who choose to follow him. In the film some good alliances are formed and some traitors are discovered.
The movie stars: Sam Worthington, Anton Yelchin, Moon Bloodgood, Bryce Dallas Howard, Jadagrace Berry, Michael Ironside and Helena Bonham Carter.
Unlike the other Terminator movies this one is rated PG-13 (The others were rated R) there are scenes of Violence, intense action, and some language.
In this version of the film you receive the Widescreen Blu-Ray disk, along with the Blu-ray extras disk and a Digital download disk.
Even if your not a fan of the Terminator Series you will be impressed with the graphic in this movie.
Buy or rent, this one is worth the price

A well directed continuation of an epic storyline
Created: 21/01/11
How do you make a terminator movie without the governator? Go see McG's continuation of the terminator series. First off, his direction and scope of this movie I have to say impressed me. McG's comments and movie experience with this blu ray set with him explaining how and why he was doing all in one camera angles to mixing excitement and great effects for the fans of the series of films will love it, just like I did. I even like the fact that they used stuff from the other films like sayings, voices and characters. The main thing I enjoyed watching was the new stuff in this film such as the worm like terminators, moto terminators and finally seeing the T600's that kyle reese mentions in the 1st terminator movie. Thirdly the acting and such was not all that terrible, Bale and Worthington are great tough guy's trying to one up one another in this but it's not bothersome. Finally, about the disc set here there is very little difference between the directors cut and the theatrical. The directors cut has a small nudity scene with Moon, and a few more spots of play with other actors but that's it. I just wish McG had the same behind the scenes movie experience he had in the theatrical version because it's not on the directors cut. All in all a great action movie with tons of new and interesting features that a fan of this series will appreciate. I decided to go with a local co. here in FL to get the awesome extra stuff along with the movie at a great price and I'm glad I can help out a local business here in FL. Great stuff check them out!
