Product Information
Originally developed on a Russian DCC clone PDP Computer by a humble employee of the Moscow Academy of Sciences, Alexey Pajitnov's mega hit succeeds where other puzzle games have failed: by keeping it simple. Seven blocks, known as Tetraminoes, and one empty "well" quickly translate into hopeless addiction. There are few games that haunt you even after you stop playing -- but 30 minutes with this puzzle masterpiece and you'll see Tetris pieces wherever you look. No matter what platform it's on, Tetris remains one of the purest and accessible videogames ever made, proving that some of the most addictive games are the simplest.

Tetris: As addictive as caffeine and chocolate!

    Created: 11/11/08
Tetris was my favorite video game as a kid. The classic NES version is still my favorite. It has the best music of all of the versions out there and the nostalgia level is through the roof. I recently bought my mom a gameboy advance so that she could play Tetris on her lunch breaks at work. It was the only way to get my own gameboy and copy of the game back ; )

The premise of the game is simple. Move and rotate different shapes so that they stack flush with one another; keeping the stack of shapes as far from the top as possible. If you fill up a line all the way across it disappears. The more lines you fill up at once the more points you get. If you make enough lines disappear before they reach the top, you advance to the next level. Each level gets more difficult as the shapes start falling at a faster rate. If you reach the top, you lose.

    Best Game

    Created: 29/12/08
Tetris is my favorite game overall. It is a puzzle game for all ages and skill levels. There really isn't anything to dislike about Tetris. This is a really great game no matter how you look at it. With two game modes it will keep you busy for a while and the more you play it the better you get at it. Although the game play is a rather simple concept to grasp you never get bored with it. Every time you turn it on or start a new game it's a new experience. Tetris is easily one of the best puzzle games (if not game) ever created and is completely addicting.

    Tetris Nintendo Game

    Created: 10/04/07
I had misplaced my Tetris game and could not find it. So, I searched eBay and there is was and also at a good price. I think they make the game for all systems but I'm not sure. It is one of the most fantastic games, especially if you like puzzle games. Just fit the blocks together to make a line and it will disappear, but don't get too close to the top or you will lose because you will run out of room. Save up four lines and the screen flashes and you get extra points. Of course the game goes faster and faster as the levels go up. You also have two games in one. One you start from the first line and move up or game two, blocks are already there. You'll have three different tunes to listen to and one is classical or you can turn off the music. After you win a level, you'll get a surprise. You won't be disappointed with this one, I guarantee. It is also great for any age and will work your hand and eye coordination to the limit. You must own one for your game system, it is a classic. I can't live without my Tetris and was so glad to find it on eBay. The first NES games are not sold at the stores and are collector's items now.
