Great textbook for medical students

As a medical student, I have been through a lot of textbooks; this particular physiology book by Guyton is really fantastic though. It is written very clearly and makes the concepts easy to understand. There is plenty of detail, but not an unnecessary or overwhelming amount. Guyton's book has been highly regarded for decades, and there is no question why. For a medical student, or any student in the allied health field, this is one of those books that you absolutely must have!

I used the an earlier edition of this textbook over 20 years ago when I was in college studying to be a nurse. It was without a doubt an essential book to me then. Now, so many years later I find myself needing to study physiology at a different level for a new job, Guyton's latest edition is once again the book to turn to.

Not a good experince for buying this book

Created: 05/10/10
Several pages have stained by paint and they are hardly to read.
The most bad thing is the binder was broken several days later.
The title shows a hardcover, but the item is not.

The book is just great. Every aspect of human physiology is well explained, almost impossible not to understand.

Great cost savings

Created: 09/09/09
This was actually the soft cover edition. I knew that prior to ordering but very satisfied with the savings. Content is equal to that of the hardcover. If you are gentle with books and do not need the dyrability of the gard cover this is a great buy.
